I live in a close suburb of the city, and while I do feel some safety in that, I always go into the city with a little bit of trepidation.

And my son is a police officer in the county. In a way, he looks at it as a sort of mission to keep the crime and danger contained.

Is that worse than “least safe”?

Oh BS. The study says that San Diego is safer than Salt Lake City. That’s shyt if I’ve ever seen it.

Well, there was the big one back in 1811.

I once took a River road along the Mississippi and deliberately drove through East St Louis. Gave the kids a look at the “real” slums .

Of course, it was at 10 am. I was wanting to teach them, not endanger them.

And I pointed out every sign promoting the mayor.

It sounds like they are over-weighing the earthquake risk...

Yes and no. If you go through St.L. you’ll be struck by the number of brick buildings...I don’t mean brick facade, but actual brick buildings. Brick buildings don’t fare well in bad earthquakes and I imagine 100+ year old brick buildings fare worse. So if a New Madrid 1812-13 earthquake hits, St. Louis will look a lot like Gaza.

St. Louis gets most of its danger because of one part of its population and its small physical size. Street gangs pretty much live cheek by jowl next to each other, so there is constant warfare over turf.

And, of course having recently ‘enjoyed’ having a Soros-funded prosecutor who firmly believed in not punishing criminals didn’t help either.

Vote must have been done by a task group of combined Chicago and New York politicians.

Crimes against whites are not classified as “hate crimes”, period.

St. Louis unsafe? Yeah, right. Try East St. Louis! It’s even worse!

Per Wikipedia, in Saint Louis there have been fewer than 5 non Democrats in elective office mayor plus council - since 1950, and none this century.

East Saint Louis is in Illinois. I e heard the people in Saint Louis don’t go there off the highways.

Probably too small to be on the list.

Yeah, and the Cardinals sucked this year. What else is new? (Disclosure: I am a Cardinal fan and used to live in the western county.)
