At this point, life in the U.S. has largely returned to pre-pandemic normal. The COVID-19 public health emergency is over, mask mandates are mostly gone, and offices and schools are open again.
But one hallmark of the pandemic remains in place: The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) still directs anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 to isolate themselves from other people for at least five full days. Once those five days are up, the CDC recommends wearing a high-quality mask, such as an N95 or KN95, around other people when indoors for an additional five days.

Had it (for me #3) two 1/2 weeks ago, isolated and I did mask up for a week after I got over it. Damn Fauxi!
The HR lady at work is one of the “we’re all in this together” cult and follows CDC guidelines. Two people have had covid and had to stay home for 5 days and wear a mask for 5 days upon returning.
I’m simply not going to tell anyone if I have it but I probably won’t know because I have no plan to test for it, even if I feel sick. I know when I’m too sick to work and when I’m not.
HR lady keeps a basket of surgeon’s masks, the most useless of all, sitting on a table in the break room. They’re not individually packaged and sitting in an open basket where people lean over them when they clock in/out.
They’re having vaccination day at work. HR lady arranged for someone to come in and jab people for the flu and/or covid. About 10 people signed up but half said just the flu shot. The others didn’t specify and one young guy wants covid jab only.
I’ve been there almost a year and I guess prior to that, they made everyone wear a mask for 1 1/2 years. Many work 12 hour shifts. When I first started, I’d never seen so many book worms. Everyone had their face in a book during lunch. I finally figured out that they thought talking was bad so they all started reading. They’ve returned to normal humans after me and others started working there behaving normally.
CDC still making it up: zero RCT studies to prove 5 + 5 days means squat ...
“Time” = Slime.

N95 or any variant means 5% gets through, more than enough to get you sick.
No ‘vaccines’, flu or otherwise.

I don’t test, no mask. If I feel bad enough or have ‘symptoms’ (fever), I stay home. If worried about being in a large crowd/enclosed space (wedding reception this weekend), I use a povidone iodine nasal wash/gargle before, immediately after, & maybe once again a couple of hours after. I still use Dr. Zelenko’s prophylactic protocol- there are other protocols out there.
Liberals need to completely isolate themselves even from mail in ballots. The paper and envelopes are crawling with COVID.
Exactly. If I get a bad cold, I’ll stay home.

While following the CDC’s advice, stand on one leg, hop up and down and chant Indian Hindu chants. Neither will help but you will get some exercise and scare normal people away.
