The land was inhabited by the “Canaanites,” who were comprised of several different groups, one of which was “the Canaanites.” “Amorites”, “Hittites” and many others.
The utter bloodlust for a conflict that doesn’t involve America is quite frankly astounding.
Egypt has already said that the Palestinians are not welcome into Egypt (because they know they’ll be ripe for recruiting by the Muslim Brotherhood); and quite frankly, why would they be obliged to take in 2,000,000+ refugees when it would only result in a brutal internecine civil conflict?
The only other country surrounding Gaza is Israel, and we already know that the Palestinians won’t be going there.
Those who claim that the Palestinians who remain behind in Gaza were given the “option” to leave are kidding themselves, especially when the territories surrounding Gaza have barred the proverbial doors.
Remaining behind is their *only* option.

Among the very small group of nuclear civil engineers (those that use nuclear weapons for peaceful purposes), two studies have been produced recently that are economically feasible and beneficial. The first was the Deepwater Horizon study. Small nuclear weapons were contemplated and computer simulations shows it would cap the well quick and efficiently, problem was getting it down in saltwater/pressure resistant package.
The second was sealing all tunnels in the Gaza Strip. Drill a bore hold 900-1200 feet down and detonate a 100kt nuclear weapon. The shockwave would virtually eliminate nearly all tunnels within a few miles. 1-2 drill sites would almost guarantee it.
I say Israel depopulate gaza strip, declare a nuclear power, and use a peaceful nuclear crater.
Israel needs to leave nothing but rubble and bodies in Gaza.
