This Saturday's game between No. 24 USC and Cal is currently delayed due to a protest taking place on the field.
Moments ago, Brandon Huffman of 247Sports shared a photo of people sitting at midfield at California Memorial Stadium.
"Just before kickoff at Cal-USC in Berkeley and a protest of some sort is going on at midfield," Huffman wrote.
There appears to be at least a dozen people protesting on the field. At this time, it's unclear as to what they're protesting about.

When this happened yesterday I thought, “they really, really wouldn’t want to do this at an Alabama game”. I don’t like hyperbole, but I really believe they would get their asses kicked. If not right then, eventually.

Half the fans were in on it. This was an organized, planned event. Everybody’s in on it: Coaches, administration, law enforcement, hot dog vendor, everybody. It’s pro wrestling folks. They probably had a permit signed by Gavin himself.

The rule is - clear the field before the game begins? Where are the cops to clear the field? Don’t they use billy clubs anymore?
I suspect these are her students and they are expecting extra credit and a higher grade at the end of the semester.

The protest was about a professor accused of harassment.
I’m betting it’s another group of jew hating democrat brownshirts.
As a sports fan, I root against any California team, always.

I lived on the Emeryville peninsula in the ‘80s, went to Berkeley often to bookstores, etc. Even then, lots of kooks running around. But at least harmless kooks, like the Society for Creative Anachronism.

I assume the Cal AD was ecstatic.
Having them show up doubled their average football game attendance - versus the rest of the season.
