Success to quickly??

I can guarantee success and end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours.

Conscript the Blood Relatives between the ages of 17-35 of EVERY Member of Congress and the Entire Executive Branch and send them to the Front Lines in Ukraine.

It will be over in less than a day.

American kids aren’t gonna be fighting in the Pacific, no matter what you geriatric war-pigs think...certainly not over whatever China decides to do with Taiwan.

So the alternative is for Ukranians to “lie back and enjoy being raped”?

Russia has always been a neighborhood bully. It mystifies me why any Americans would resent Ukraine for defending itself.

Certainly even the Ukrainians admit that their society has a lot of corruption. But corruption in our allies has never stopped US support in the past.

And the money being spent there is just a fraction of the amount that we spent in either Afghanistan or Iraq. And I will add that the US budget is absolutely *not* “zero sum”, so even if we stopped funding Ukraine at all, it does not mean that (whatever expenditure you prefer) will get a single more dime.

So, boil it down:

1) No skin off our nose (so far).
2) It’s taking Russia down several pegs, relatively cheaply.

What’s not to like?

If the people of Ukraine had been asked if they’d rather live under the corrupt government they had - or under a corrupt Russian government
- I don’t think they would have cared much either way. I suspect the whole ‘war thing’ is being done for the benefit of Ukranian and world ‘elties’ and has little to do with what’s best for Ukrainians.

One thing I’ve learned being a Trump supporter is I don’t love my country anymore. The place is more like some thuggy progressive nightmare. I look at the institutions traditional Americans pay for - people like me - and I know they’re not good. I suspect that’s how lots of Ukrainians were feeling about their country too.

When fighting Russia, the only successful strategy since 1800s is to OUTLAST them. That requires three major tactics.

1) Stop the initial onslaught (check)
2) Have a 5 to 1 kill ratio. Even the most optimistic estimates do not show this.
3) Have a long enough and deep enough supply chain (as long as NATO and the US continue to supply - check)

Just my .02

Well prayed.

There are so many here who automatically hear Russia and say Russia bad. Anything Russia =bad. I just see the trash being taken out.

Japan is friends with the west now and they’ve done far worse things.

You absolutely must investigate why Russia was forced to intervene. It begins with people like Hillary, Soros, Nuland, McCain, Graham, Sullivan, Blinken, NATO, WEF, the CIA, a crooked State Department that should be renamed to Department of War, Biden’s thievery and corruption, and the slaughter of 14,000 Russian national civilians by the Nazi Azov Battalion that was built up and equipped by us truly for just that; killing Russians.

Every time some asshole says “Slava Ukraine” It might as well be “ Heil Hitler, Seig Heil!”

“Not against America, but against the filthy, corrupt, evil Biden regime.”

No, just against America. Our enemies hope to supplant us, they don’t care who is running our country at any particular moment, they still intend on supplanting us.

We should not be sending Ukraine cash. We should buy what they want for them. Items should be specially marked so they can be identified when sold by Ukraine. This is a simple process. And just think of the gigantic, bureaucratic, Department our gov could create just to handle this simple job.

Good post. I basically think of the US as now constructed to be more similar to the Soviet Union than the country I was born in over 50 years ago. I really don’t have much love for the US in its current form.

All Russia need do it hold what they have and wait. Once the west is sick of the war in Ukraine they will reduce or drop aid to Kiev and the People of Ukraine will kick out Mr. Zelenskyy and new leaders will make a deal with Putin—or anyone else in power in Moscow. WW III averted. Remember Russia’s greatest friend is coming—General Winter.
