The Occupation Solution: Naïve politicians continue to salivate over ‘the two state solution’ and an end to ‘occupation.’ But who is occupying whom?

On October 25, 2023, U.N. secretary general António Guterres said at a U.N. Security Council meeting on the Israel-Hamas war that he condemns unequivocally the horrifying and unprecedented 7 October acts of terror by Hamas in Israel.  He continued:

Nothing can justify the deliberate killing, injuring and kidnapping of civilians — or the launching of rockets against civilian targets.

He then justified the attacks:

It is important to also recognize the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum.  The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation. They have seen their land steadily devoured by settlements and plagued by violence; their economy stifled; their people displaced and their homes demolished. Their hopes for a political solution to their plight have been vanishing.

What was the hoped for political solution that has somehow escaped Israel and the Palestinians all these years?  Guterres explained:

A negotiated peace that fulfills the legitimate national aspirations of Palestinians and Israelis, together with their security alike — the long-held vision of a two-state solution.

This vision of a two-state solution is shared by President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.  It is not shared by Benjamin Netanyahu, who said that Israel will take responsibility for Gaza for the indefinite future.  Netanyahu explained that only occupation of the Gaza Strip can prevent an “eruption of Hamas terror.”

This vision of a two-state solution is not shared by the Palestinian Authority, either, who in 2000 was offered and rejected an independent sovereign state in almost all of the West Bank and Gaza, without a single settlement in sight, and a capital in east Jerusalem.  They rejected the offer because it did not include an agreement by Israel to be flooded with millions of Palestinian Arabs living in refugee camps in the West Bank.  If the Palestinian Authority had accepted that suicidal offer, it could have had an army with tanks and planes, with only a 10-mile-wide stretch of Israel between them and the Mediterranean Sea.  The lunacy of the two-state solution becomes even more apparent when one realizes that in the 28 years since the Oslo Accords, the existence of four de facto Palestinian states did not stop terrorism.

Guterres believes that there can be peace once the Palestinian Arabs cease suffocating under Israel occupation, but are they suffocating?  Are they occupied?  Who is occupying whom?  A poll carried out by the Palestine News Network found that 93% of Arab residents of East Jerusalem preferred to live under Israeli governance rather than that of the Palestinian Authority.  One would almost think that the Palestinian Authority and not Israel is the suffocating occupier.

There is a nation known as Israel...There is NO nation known as Palestine...Palestine is an area (like Appalachia or Piedmont)...The people living in the area are Arabs from Syria, Jordan, Egypt, etc....

The “two-state solution” has been the official government policy of the U.S. for decades — mainly because that was the original U.N. plan for the transition of Palestine from British rule after World War II.

I have my own personal two state solution. Drunken state and sober state and I alternate between the two.

The Southern Syrians, aka “Palestinians” already have a state and its called Jordan.

There is no such place as Palestine, and no such people. It was all made up after 1948.

What I’ve noticed in reading the articles and the responses is that few people have any notion of what might work, the short answer is nothing, or how to implement it. People are just sick of the whole thing. For most of my life an area smaller than the county I live in has occupied much of the news and nobody cares. We just want it to go away. The Arab solution is the same as the “final solution.” The Israeli “solution” is to just live with it. Frankly, we’d all be better off to edit the whole thing from our consciousness and let the Israelis continue to deal with living with it however they see fit.

I’ve worked with and gone to college with a few Palestinians. There is no solution that will work for them. Even if they killed all the Jews, all that would mean is they’d spend more time killing each other as apostates. The fact that the Jews exist is probably the only reason there isn’t more Muslim on Muslim violence. Think of the Catholic/protestant wars, but with 50% more blood.

My sense is that America is just done with the whole thing. Muslims should pay more attention to what isn’t happening in America and maybe consider moving into, at least, the tenth century.

Democrats already achieved their two state system right here in America. They view red states as “occupied territories”.

The UN only created the Gaza Strip, Israel and the West Bank. They did not create any place called Palestine, because the Southern Syrians already had Jordan as a state.

The phase “two state solution” is misleading. Creating two states will solve nothing. The islamists will still try to eliminate Israel, and the Palestinian state will be their allies.

I’d bet half of these terrorist supporting useful idiots marching in the streets couldn’t find the Jordan River on a map.

Palestine as an entity is now gone.

A new and as yet undefined state will emerge governed by the Israelis and others including Saudi Arabia and UAE, Egypt and or Jordan and the United States.

The radical Hamas will be destroyed and not permitted. The ineffective and inconsequential Abbas Palestinian Authority pretend government will be replaced in it’s corrupt entirety to the village level. The “Refugee Camps” will not be rebuilt or allowed to exist.

The new territorial process governed and funded by the Abrams/Negev overseers will last at least ten years and perhaps longer if the people there are in effect trash and riff raff incapable of assuming responsibility for their own existence

Hamas wants Israel and its Jews gone.

The sentiment is shared by the power who voted Hamas into power.

Palestinian Arabs and Democrats share a love of total control.

The Muzzies have been offered solutions, help, food, water, medicine, monetary help, resources, infrastructure and still they choose hate, war and death.

Stop offering them help and give them what they want to the last.

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that. Palestine is an Islamic Waqf land consecrated for Moslem generations until Judgement Day. This being so, who could claim to have the right to represent Moslem generations till Judgement Day?

This is the law governing the land of Palestine in the Islamic Sharia (law) and the same goes for any land the Moslems have conquered by force, because during the times of (Islamic) conquests, the Moslems consecrated these lands to Moslem generations till the Day of Judgement.

There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors. The Palestinian people know better than to consent to having their future, rights and fate toyed with.

The rule for everyone but Jews: When you lose territory due to wars that you start, the winner is not an “occupier”; and, if you make peace with the winner, you MIGHT get some of it back.

The two state solution is not viable when one of the two’s raison d’être is the destruction of the other and that is exactly what it would be. The Palestinian hatred for the Jews is their identity. They build nothing they create nothing they invent nothing. Their entire existence is focused on the destruction of Israel and the death of every Jew who lives there

These arabs refuse to end the war. There is no resolution of the war until then. No one gives up land they have conquered *during* the war.

This, however has gone on so long, that the only solution is permanent incorporation of the conquered lands. If the Gaza and West Bank arabs want to quit losing land, they should quit attacking.
