For those of us who had never heard of Gilroy, it is in California, a few dozen miles south of San Jose.
Add a Tazer to the Cane and ZOT THEM IN THE NECK/GROIN/CENTER OF THE CHEST !!! That’ll slow them down and give You time to retrieve Your Pistol.

Most of the garlic for the festival comes over Pacheco Pass from the FR HQ area nowadays tho.. (House subdivisions covering up the former garlic fields in the Gilroy/Bay Area).
Been thru Gilroy on the way to Laguna Seca and it’s Fantastic with Monterey just over the hill. It is an absolute shame that California is swirling the Toilet!

Yep, killing a once great state. I was the “designated tow vehicle” for my H.S. friend’s “Formula Vee” open wheel car that he used to amateur race at Laguna Seca....the good old days (late “70’s early ‘80’s).

A friend of mine lived in North New Jersey. He kept a wallet in his back pocket with phony credit cards and phony bills that looked real. He kept the real stuff in his front pocket. When he would get robbed, he would hand over the wallet with all the fake stuff in it.

I live in what’s considered a nice neighborhood in Redmond, WA. A couple of days ago we had an armed robbery at a close by Chevron station by a masked guy who was on a bicycle. On Nextdoor I see all sorts of crimes reported. Where can we go to be safe?
I listed a chair on Craig’s list and right away got contacted by scammers. They said they would accept the chair as described and would send me a check for me to deposit and they’d have movers come pick it up because “she” was too busy at work to actually come look at it. So a ck was next dayed to me for $2950 written on an obscure Utah bank for an account named Sunset Chevron. I called the bank who said it will NEVER cash. So I reported them to the feds and then waited. They actually thought I was going to take 1900 from my account (covered by a ck that would bounce) and put the $ in the nearest Coinstar. It was actually funny - to me anyway. Unfortunately they must get away with this once in a while.
It’s hard to trust anyone anywhere these days - our so called POTUS on down.
I keep mine around my neck and under my arm...that or I just keep my little change purse/wallet pouch in my pocket the whole time....
That’s why instead of carrying a cane or using a walker I carry a 38 Super and 4 magazines.
