Reparations for slavery are demanded in the US, reparations for colonialism is now being talked about, as is some sort of reparations for climate change ,as climste change allegedly hurts less developed countries worse than the developed world.
Who pays, and how much, always seems to drive these discussions.
Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, the last Democrat I believed spoke the truth said, “Politics is all about who gets how much and when.”
He was replaced by Hillary Clinton because it was believed, correctly, that even a glass of water with a D on it would win the election.
It's quite another thing to undergo a cultural change like the English speaking world did with the First and Second Great Awakenings -- which is what caused Americans to break away from our British masters and free the blacks we had as slaves. Unless South Africa and Haiti undergo that kind of culture change they will be crap hole countries.
And the further the U.S. shuns the values of the Great Awakenings, the more we direct our country into being a crap hole country.
