Finkelstein has apparently not realized that incitement to commit murder is already illegal. She’d love to be able to dictate what speech is allowed and what isn’t, but that’s an issue of political power quite separate from suppressing calls to genocide.
No matter the problem, be it Jew hatred or hot weather, their solution is less freedom.
No matter the question, the answer is always the same.
Ironic isn’t it.
Now Clair dear, go screw your head up a duck's bum.
Cheeri-O!
Nice try. Besides, conservatives are already aware that we don't have free speech. So, y'know, be fruitful and multiply, just not in those words.
She needs to will f off. They imported these termites, they bred these termites, they know the termites will bring down their house, and conservatives MUST maximize this moment as a once-a-decade #MeToo opportunity to punch down on the neomarxists.
Dude, don’t encourage them to breed. Have unproductive orgasms with yourselves would be more appropriate.
We already know that they’re fruits. But more free speech. Less thuggish suppression of free speech.
That’s not quite what that means. :^)
even hate speech calling for violence against ethnic or religious minorities I call BS. Tenured prof are being dumped just for “using the wrong pronouns”. Speakers on the right are regularly cancelled or made near impossible for them to speak on campuses. The post is living in some alternate fantasy world.
I know. Can’t I have any fun?
In reality, this is a patently false statement.
The Ivys are being called out for SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT. Conservatives and Jewish folks…no protection. A leftist burning down a lecture hall? Well, that’s frustration.
May I present as evidence, Harvard University Anti-Bullying Policy
To wit:
A. Definition of Bullying
Bullying, used as a shorthand for hostile and abusive behavior or power-based harassment, is defined here as harmful interpersonal aggression by words or actions that humiliate, degrade, demean, intimidate, or threaten2 an individual or individuals. For a violation of the Policy to occur, such aggression must be sufficiently severe or pervasive, and objectively offensive, that it creates a work, educational, or living environment that a reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive and denies the individual an equal opportunity to participate in the benefits of the workplace or the institution’s programs and activities.
Harvard could have easily shut down the antisemitism, per Policy. INSTEAD, HRVARD LET ANTISEMITISM RIDE.
We must keep the tradition of head chopping for those who draw the Great Dead Prophet, or for those women caught in public without a FULL burqa.
“A guillotine (/ˈɡɪlətiːn, -loʊ-/ GHIH-lə-teen, -loh-) is an apparatus designed for efficiently carrying out executions by beheading. The device consists of a tall, upright frame with a weighted and angled blade suspended at the top. The condemned person is secured with a pillory at the bottom of the frame, holding the position of the neck directly below the blade. The blade is then released, swiftly and forcefully decapitating the victim with a single, clean pass; the head falls into a basket or other receptacle below.”
It was used in France until 1981
Hmm, well, FR does stand for FunRepublic... ;^)
They are trying to blur the lines between free speech and inciting violence which is not free speech.
Only if you regard the putative object of the violence as human. If you are inciting violence against alley cats or cockroaches, it is still free speech. And if you are positing that Jews, Blacks or the Chinese are subhuman, that would be free speech, but free speech for the purpose of being allowed to incite violence against them, based on the proposition that they are an inferior species. That’s how the Nazis did it, and what differentiates a mere nationalist, asserting the legitimate prerogatives of nationhood, and a Nazi. I’m just waiting for the Harv-tards to articulate that “free speech” hypothesis. They’re supposedly smart.
The problem is that certain “protected classes” are free to spew whatever hate they want while others are silenced.
I favor free speech. But if there is going to be censorship for “hate speech” it needs to be applied across the board (See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78ICiQKdO-Q)
Walk around an Ivy League campus wearing a MAGA hat. See their commitment to free speech in action.
