By 2030, California’s population loss will be Florida’s gain in Congressional seats, electoral college votes

California is projected to lose four congressional seats after the 2030 Census, with Texas positioned to gain four and Florida to gain three, says the American Redistricting Project based on this week’s new Census data.

According to Thad Kousser, an expert in California and national politics and a professor of political science at UC San Diego, a reduction in California’s congressional delegation could have mixed effects.

The contrast between California and Florida, which are each governed by respective Democratic and Republican trifectas — is not only evident in projected apportionment, but in the recent national debate and ongoing sparring between California governor Gavin Newsom and Florida governor Ron DeSantis as a choice between “blue” and “red” America.

Or, they’ll manipulate the numbers like they did after the 2020 Census and screw over the red states again.

California is well on their way to making it criminal to leave California.

They have passed an EXIT TAX for wealthy California residents who leave the state. The end result of not paying the Exit Tax is California could charge you with a crime. In a way, it is illegal to leave the state right now.

Why does anyone think this will matter? Are y’all asleep?

When the commie trash take final power in 2024 with Newsome nothing will matter. The HilaryHag was pissed when passed over and then defeated ‘cause IT WAS HER TURN!!!

Once they cement their power via corrupt courts and election fixing they will just cycle one puppet thru after another. Taking turns, until things get vile enough to actually kill off the competition.

Congressional apportionment can be offset by importing illegal aliens to “sanctuary” cities and states.

The blue state losses are being offset (or being recouped) via the illegal alien population being brought in by Biden. In fact, the blue states will grant voting status to the illegal alien population, even before they enter country.

N3ezt, they’ll grant voting status to all foreigners within their own countries, because, they’re all potential future Americans.

Lots of good thoughts in this thread:
* Lying on the census “Who said people were leaving?”
* Importing foreigners to vote in their place

Or one that I’ve not seen yet:
* Change the rules so that apportionment is no longer based on population. After all, NOT changing it is “A threat to our democracy”.

depends on counting the people. If its a federal agency they will overcount blue states and under count red states.

Hard core Dems and Radical Libs move from California to Florida and will turn the state from red to blue just like Colorado.
