The GOP is absolutely rudderless. Run Joe Bliw and see what happens!

It reads like a comedy routine from Orwell.

They strike down a law to...keep them from striking down laws.

And we have to send billions and billions to this looney bin?

Rule by judiciary is about as ideal as rule by mullahs.

If as they contend this law was the equivalent of a constitutional amendment they probably should have required a 2/3 vote of the legislature before enacting it. To put something like this forward with barely over 50% supporting it is just asking for trouble. Now it’s raising divisiveness among Israelis at a very inopportune time.

The left in Israel is like the left here in America, both hate their own country. The media in Israel hates BiBi just like the media in America hates Trump

So the high court struck down a law designed to stop the abuses of the high court? Sounds about right.

Wish they hadn’t gone public with this. I’m sure there are some liberals in power right now here in the US trying to figure out how to adapt that so they can over rule any court, anywhere in the country by political determination. The all powerful wizards of ah skit.

Israel has no Constitution. The Israeli Supreme Court granted itself globally unprecidented powers in the 1980s and 1990s in response to the Left losing a monopoly on legislative and executive power. Among these usurpations was the court basically declaring that it got to chose new members and could strike down laws, parts of laws, and even military actions. The reform law gives the Israeli Supreme Court quite a bit of power, but codifies and limits it. That is unacceptable to the ersatz krytocrats
