When police arrived on scene they found the door kicked in and the suspect laying on the floor in the garage. I was once told by a LEO that if you shot someone trying to break into your house, they had better be on the inside of the door. I don't know if this would count.................

The deceased perp will continue to vote Democrat for a hundred years.
Hope the victims weren’t MAGA for their sake.

One thing I heard that sounded like good advice was to *never* move the body. That will automatically get you arrested and probably set you up for a murder charge.

I imagine you are a whole lot safer legally if the perp is inside the house. Much easier to demonstrate an immediate threat to you life.
