Ron DeSantis has further alienated the America First conservatives he hoped to win over from Donald Trump’s base by disparaging January 6th protestors, denying they were motivated by patriotism.
Speaking at a CNN town hall, the Florida Governor was asked if “the January 6th insurrections display[ed] patriotism, as some of them claim they did” by an audience member.
A lot of Trump supporters would agree the people who stormed the capitol were not patriots. What did they think was going to happen when they got there?
Honest to goodness, I’ve seen current RDS supporters mouthing MAGA ideals as recently as a year ago. What kind of a Uniparty stooge would you have to be to be pliable enough to support this loser?
Seeing a bunch of congress”people” hiding under their desks like cowards made me feel pretty patriotic
The overwhelming number of J6 protestors were peaceful and patriotic

Agreed, but who supports trashing the capitol? Breaking in to the building is really all people associate J6 with, not people at the Trump rally.
“How many J6 protestors has DeSantis ever talked to? From this, I would conclude the number is zero.”
Although a large number of January 6th Defendants who remained jailed are Florida residents, DeSantis has refused to get involved. From what I have read, his office has not returned calls from 1/6 families or their representatives. And as far as I can determine, DeSantis has not spoken out against their horrible treatment or the fact that many have been held in jail for three years now without a trial.
His irrational premise - that he could be both MAGA and not MAGA at the same time - was always doomed to failure, so long as his deception was exposed. Triangulation. That’s the strategy of the professional political class. Promise different, conflicting things to different segments of the electorate and hope you can cobble together enough sub-groups to win. None of the sub-groups would particularly like you but since the other party was doing the same thing it was a question of which candidate was less disliked than the other.
Most of the presidents from the past 50 years or so were elected this way. Trump is the rare exception.
You do know Trump went to an Ivy League school, right?
People who saw the violence were pretty ignorant to enter the building. Those folks shouldn’t be punished though.
Totally agree
Could have come from Pence, Romney, Liz Cheney and any RINO hanging around DC.
Hundreds that day were there to exercise their constitutional right to peaceably assemble and express their views and grievances-——regardless of exceptions which include agents sent to provoke and incite.
Pro Hamas chanters who block bridges and airports and all the past BLM mobs were openly violent and impeded highway access and travel. They are the real troublemakers.
DeSantis has not spoken out against their horrible treatment or the fact that many have been held in jail for three years now without a trial.

Why isn’t Trump speaking out all day and everyday about the jailed J6 protestors. Those folks were loyal to him and he left them. Has he raised money for their defense?
Step off, Ron.
He just ended his career. He is now a RINO Democrat.
He won’t be able to get elected dog catcher in Florida after this.
L
Just as I thought. Thank you for that!
Agree.
Where is the outrage and the senate hearings and indictments of a true breakdown of observance of law?
that was not a good day for the country.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
It was a damned good dayh for the country. There were a million people in attendence maybe 1200 peope were at drivne to violence at tyhe capitol; by a planned false flag evet.
But the fact is, that oet the election cheaters knoiw that we the People are o n t9 them.....and they still keep telling us not to believe our lyin eyes?
The cheat was on. And we wiull make iot aolo straight, inc;uding complete pardons of th9es Jan 6ers who are imprisoned on felonies that are mere misdeamenors.
They are desperate , caterwauling, they know we are on to them and they know we will apprehend them.
DeSantis had a chance to set the record straight in front of the CNN audience. He could have said that most of the protestors there were peaceful and patriotic. He could have corrected the person asking the question by pointing out that even the non peaceful ones were rioters and NOT "insurrectionists".
Ron didn't didn't do that.
As I pointed out on one of my posts today, Ron is soft and quishy on J6, The Steal and the uniparty lawfare.
...corrupt gov. is afraid of itself being outed.
"...it's what people know about themselves, inside, that makes them afraid"
...High Plains Drifter.
The cabal is afraid. Gov. is run by an evil cabal.
