“While these final spending levels will not satisfy everyone, and they do not cut as much spending as many of us would like, this deal does provide us a path to: 1) move the process forward; 2) reprioritize funding within the topline towards conservative objectives, instead of last year’s Schumer-Pelosi omnibus; and 3) fight for the important policy riders included in our House FY24 bills,” Johnson said.

Moving forward.
Reprioritizing.
Fighting for important stuff.

As long as we're getting these sorts of real, solid achievements, I'm satisfied.

Close the border or we shut down the government.

Use the power that you have, to save the Republic, Mikey.

Just, do it!

If it’s not a closed border and a balanced budget then it’s not good enough.

“””The topline constitutes $1.590 trillion for FY24”””

I need more meat to go with this bone.

Does this mean that spending from Jan 2024 until Sept 30, 2024 is limited to $1.590 trillion?????

Where’s the meat?

Spend. Spend. Spend. Who cares that the USA is $34 trillion in the hole? Apparently not our elected representatives.

America is bankrupt and effectively terminal, dead nation walking. Only divine intervention can save it.

As long as the military get paid and VA funded as far as I’m concerned, shut it down. Besides it really doesn’t shut down all that much, just the non-essential things, designed to irritate people, like national parks, passport processing, IRS call lines and stuff like that.
Besides it is good to show the people in the USA just how much silly crap we support.

In other words business as usual. Anyone hoping Mike Johnson was going to be any different than his predecessors are going to be disappointed.

"Dear colleague, letter? Do I even want to know?"

Why break bad on TrumpII Triumphant #Narrative when SCOTUS smacks the everlasting ---- out of Colorado?

I mean Will Smith smacking Chris Rock.

I mean "it came from Mississippi, in slow motion, it gained momentum in Georgia [lol]. Swept up through Louisiana... "

From what I understand the agreement is for more yearly foreign Visas along with other privileges for foreign workers and illegal aliens. Sprinkled with a little bit of amnesty.

Jack Posobiec posted:

50,000 additional visas per year year, work permits for now adult children of H-1Bs who replaced American workers, and then an immediate work permit for illegal aliens leaving detention. It also allows illegals to continue being paroled at ports of entry, and lines the pockets of immigration attorneys.

Give them just enough money so that the lights go out during Biden’s State of the Union speech.

The goal should not be "keep the government open". The goal should be "keep America from destruction"!

Unless we completely close the border to illegal immigration NOW and get rid of the millions that have invaded that is highly improbable to succeed no matter what political agreements are made across the imaginary political aisle. All these other compromises are America-murdering bullsh!t.

The American People are done with political backscratching crap. We want genuine results that benefit us and not politicians and their donors!

Send the money directly to Ukraine and make Joe and Hunter and Kamala have to claw it back to keep the government here going.
