Crowd at black church cheers when Biden calls Trump a 'loser' and chants 'four more years' in speech tearing into former president for claiming the Civil War could be 'negotiated' and Nikki Haley saying slavery wasn't a cause

*** Biden traveled to Charleston where he appeared at the historic Mother Emanuel AME Church, as he tries to shore up his 2024 support with black voters.

While at one point, he was interrupted by pro-Palestinian protesters shouting 'ceasefire now,' he was also awarded with cheers when he called Trump a 'loser' and chants of 'four more years.'

'So let me be clear for those who don't seem to know: Slavery was the cause of the Civil War,' Biden said, earning applause. 'There was no negotiation about that.'

Last month, Haley - the former governor of South Carolina - stepped in it when she didn't mention slavery when a New Hamsphire town hall attendee asked her what caused the Civil War. ***

Haley asked the man for his opinion on what started the Civil War and he then commented that he found it 'astonishing' in 2023 that she wouldn't mention the word 'slavery.'

'What do you want me to say about slavery?' Haley then said.

On Saturday, Trump waded in, telling supporters at a campaign stop in Newton, Iowa that he believed the Civil War was 'something that could've been negotiated.'

'The Civil War was so fascinating, so horrible,' Trump said. 'I'm so attracted to seeing it. So many mistakes were made. See there was something that could've been negotiated, to be honest with you, I think you could have negotiated that.'

He added that President Abraham Lincoln 'if he negotiated it, you probably wouldn't even know who Abraham Lincoln was.'

*** So far, of the three top Republican candidates, only Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has remained unscathed in the Civil War controversy.

Two things:

Black churches, that are essentially tax free Democrat booster clubs, should lose their tax exempt status.

Carefully prepped audience.

It was a Biden rally, what do you expect?

Huh, that’s odd. I JUST read that Briben was heckled, at this “black church” event.

“”I wonder how much they paid the crowd to have that reaction.””

My thoughts exactly.

Just like in Cuba, North Korea, etc. You better show up, or else. There were many places where, when Hussein was campaigning, they brought in huge curtains to make the auditorium ‘look’ full. The actual auditorium was less than half full, so the large curtains were placed in the middle. The Drive-By Media made sure the photos supported the fake narrative of a full house.

There are millions of State and Federal workers who want the Hussein/Biden Regime to continue. There are many more millions who do not. The democRATS always cheat with elections. If we can hold back the volume of cheating, President Trump will overwhelm the fraud. It will be a tumultuous 4 years, and it will be wondrous. I hope and pray that any assassination attempts are thwarted long before anyone attempts it.

Why do blacks support the party of the KKK? Don’t they know history?

“tearing into former president for claiming the Civil War could be ‘negotiated’”

I’m pretty sure the Civil War cost many times more than the economic value of the slaves.

Trump is right, hundreds of thousand were killed, a country ripped in half, maybe it could have been negotiated. The rats are evil bloodthirsty demons.

“Why do blacks support the party of the KKK? Don’t they know history?”

The switch came during Hoover’s presidency.

I suspect it came about because Hoover didn’t fight to keep blacks on employer payrolls as well as whites.

The reason stocks sank to next to nothing by 1932 is because Hoover bullied large employers to maintain their workforces.

Hoover’s higher income taxes also reduced the ability of well-paid people to buy stock.

After the Civil War sharecropping worked out so much better for plantation owners that Southerners did not complain about emancipation.

There was no longer a need to pay for expensive overseers and the blacks were self-motivated to work hard.

JFK fully supported MLK Jr. when a Georgia judge tossed him into jail. That made a difference in the 1960 election. The US eventually got LBJ as President and former Senate Majority Leader LBJ knew how to make Congress create entitlements.

Firing on Fort Sumter was the actual event that made the war go hot.

The South might have been able to avoid war and retain its chattels.

The nation tried for years to negotiate its differences. Consider the great compromises regarding admitting new states during the years prior. The intractable problem was politico-economic: slave states had a political advantage through the slave populations which enabled them to gain economic advantage. If one had to pick one cause of the war, it would be the fight to prevent the expansion of slavery, not slavery per se.
