How long before the cartels in Mexico do the same thing?......................
Apparently this is why all the billionaires bought $100M bunkers and islands.
All they did was buy a little more time than us ne’er-do-well’s.
Pretty soon they will be asked by their families why they created world wide chaos.
I wonder what their answer will be...
Revelation 6:16 (NIV)
They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
My Niece is there.
Hope she can get out quickly....................
How long before the Cartels in the USA do the same thing?
It sounds like Ecuador is getting to be as bad as America.
Not until they take away our 2nd Amendment rights..................
At least Chicago and Baltimore...................
They’ve been doing that since forever. Nothing new.
Sounds like Ecuador should stop imprisoning Cartel leaders. Just shoot them.
The neighbor is a Dept of Ag employee stationed in Quito. Said he liked the place, with a year-round perfect climate, but a little too much rain.
The folks renting his house might have to find a new place soon.
Jeez, sounds an awful lot like big Blue cities during the St. George “mostly peaceful demonstrations” a coupla years ago. Dem beaners got nuff’n on our Homies. She’it Bro.
Coming to America. Right now the cartels own our politicians up and down the line.
I’ll see your Chicago and Baltimore and raise you a Detroit.
Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele, please pick up the white courtesy phone.
I visited Ecuador last year. The poverty was astonishing. The people I talked to were struggling, but had hope. They liked that they country US currency was the dollar, as inflation was no longer a problem. We went to the Presidential Palace to see the changing of the guard, but had to go through multiple police check points.
In one of the cities, our cruise ship shore excursion has a police escort with both a male and female police officer to follow groups as we walked. The female officer would follow women to restrooms to make sure nothing happened. That was a clue that things were “safe” but not really safe.
I really enjoyed the country, but it was clear that things were on the edge.
I was just reading about how wonderful Ecuador was as a retirement destination...
Boy, have they got a big surprise coming in the next few years.
