I grew up in the nicest suburb south of Buffalo. Orchard Park, NY (home of the Buffalo Bills).
The Bills and Sabres are the only thing they have. Other than the proximity to Niagara Falls and Toronto, Canada ad chicken wings served with BLUE CHEESE.
I grew up in suburbs of Utica, Ithaca, and Syracuse. It was a nice place as a kid. I still remember a lot of the NYS history taught in 7th and 8th grades, back when we were proud of it. But I never realized it was the cloudiest part of the country. We used to visit my Mom’s folks in Idaho and Dad’s brother and family in Idaho on LONG road trips. That’s when I learned parts of the country get lots of sunshine, have majestic mountains and have wide open spaces.
Have you seen the Sabres in the past 10 years? They are a dumpster fire on ice.
