Russia Fires Hypersonics in Massive Attack on Ukraine
Newsmax ^ | January 12, 2024 | Rooters

Ukraine suffered a mass Russian missile attack in the early hours of Saturday, its air force said, adding that Moscow had fired some of its most fearsome hypersonic missiles.

Air defenses shot down Russian missiles in at least five regions across Ukraine, according to local officials from those provinces.

However, no details were given on whether any targets were hit, and far less information about the attack than usual was provided by officials.

Ukraine's air force warned during the attack that Russia had fired Kinzhal missiles -- perhaps the hardest conventional Russian missile to shoot down, moving at several times the speed of sound.

“An air defense battery with radar up maybe 10 feet has a horizon 4 miles away.”

There are networked air defense radars all over the place with collectively unlimited horizon.

“Looks like Goliath is struggling to whip David once more.”

Russia against 31 NATO countries, with the USA leading the way. NATO would be Goliath. If not, Russia is one heck of a superpower.

No. I’m talking about computers that can compute a Mach 10 missile’s trajectory and fire countermeasures in less than a millisecond. Mach 10 is 7410 MPH or about 3.3 kilometers per second. How much computing can be done in a full second?

Think of our savings if Russia takes over Ukraine? Not all metrics are bad.

You need to tell the US Congress that the hypersonic problem is handled, and they don’t need to worry.

Somebody, somewhere is holding the Russians where they are.

Yes, we know.

I don’t think computing speed is the issue for hypersonic interception.

The US Congress is demanding action on hypersonic interceptors, so someone thinks there is a problem.

But wait!

Zelensky the homoclown, told us they use the game-changing patriot system to shoot down 150% of the missiles from Russia.

We know this article must be a boldfaced lie.

You know. Like all the lies about the Ukies winning we've been told since 2/22.

NATO isn’t there, just little Ukraine, and 24 months ago Russia WAS seen as the 2nd superpower in the world and is the Goliath attacking their little neighbor.

Putin is REALLY desperate to try to end this war before the March elections.

Putin's approval rating in Russia is currently around 85%.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/896181/putin-approval-rating-russia/

The Russians are anticipating the fall of the corrupt Zelensky regime, negotiations will begin at that time. The Russian's goal is to keep whatever territory that they have taken when that happens. This is the most likely outcome. This has been a huge failure for the West when looking at the overall picture starting from 2014 when the pro-Russian Ukrainian president, Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych was toppled with a massive effort from Western Intelligence agencies and the help of George Soros.

The installed puppet President Petro Poroshenko gave George Soros Ukraine's Order of Liberty award, which is the highest honor that Ukraine can bestow on a foreigner. Soros bragged that he had more influence over Ukraine than any other person in the world. From that point forward Soros and Western influence in Ukraine continued to be consolidated reaching a high point with the “election” of Zelensky.

The real goal when these efforts were made was never to help Ukrainians... it has always been to weaken Russia. Which can be confirmed when by listening to the rhetoric of war hawks such as Lindsay Graham, etc...

At this point Zelensky has lost the confidence of his people and his underlings go rogue more and more frequently. Even after a pro-Western leader is chosen to replace him... Ukraine is basically done and the signs that this will soon be over are more and more evident every day.

The sanctions which were suppose to punish Russia and cause them to rethink what they were doing accomplished nothing positive... BRICS countries now have a higher combined GDP than G7 and the reserve currency of the world is quickly moving away from the US Dollar. Russia's National Debt went down to $271 Billion in 2023 a 20% decrease, while our own National Debt has soared an additional $2 Trillion to over $34 Trillion.

I could of course go on and on... Russia has accomplished most of it's goals in Ukraine and it has been a fiasco for the USA and the West. Russia has what it wants and the West will now have to pay for a ravaged nation with no real leverage to force Russia to pay for any of the damage that it is responsible for.

What else could you really expect from a foreign policy disaster brought to you by the Biden regime and a bunch of their idiot NeoCon supporters such as yourself. We should all be forcing you to sit in the corner wearing a Canadian Dunce Toque.

What might one infer from that? ( A fair-to-middling math joke; mea culpa in advance. Probably... ) :)

They are not going to be shot down.

Not with projectiles. Probably not with guided missiles either. Depends on the detection range and communication systems.

A laser shot might be able to do it.

Well, c*^&! The Ukrainians do not have any of those systems. Shall we send them a few for field tests?

Oh s$%##$! We don't have any of those systems either. Maybe we could get some from the Israelis - if they are not too busy.
