How many people are still in jail / prison from Jan 6th that have not had a trial?
I need particulars, ie: who set the trial dates?
what were the charges?
did the defense file to postpone the trial?
all we're getting is " these people are still in jail for crimes committed on jan 6 2021" . .
no specifics. using trigger words like " hostages" sounds like a wag the dog type thing.
tell a lie with a little truth and it becomes a big lie that everyone belives.

What is wrong with you Senator Ernst? You are good with people Bering held in jail without trial? What is scary is that you are in the military and don’t seem to know the Constitution. What’s even worse is you are in the Senate.
...and Ernst blindly accepted the premise - while she could well have argued there is no difference.
Consider even those who were over-charged and are no longer imprisoned. They were badgered into pleading to a lesser offense just to get out of a harsh prison environment likely far from home and family.
They now will be held "hostage", likely with fewer personal choices for a lifetime with the shadow of a criminal record.
That D.C. jail is certainly a gulag for those that are far from home, family and resources.

They are political prisoners.
A hostage can be redeemed by paying a ransom, or doing a demanded action.

Asa Hutchinson? A one term governor, no longer, of Arkansas a nobody who dropped out of the R nomination race bc he was getting less than one percent of the vote. He has no following, other than the media, and he has his own legal troubles with his son. He was there as the voice of the Bush family to try to defeat Trump and his voters.
It’s bothersome that Ernst won’t admit the J6 prisoners are hostages and political prisoners.
Back then, I liked Joni’s political view on most issues, but I never got why that video of her castrating pigs was so celebrated and applauded. I get the symbology of “de-balling those elite politicians who feed at the trough of govt. funds, but I was a bit less fascinated with seeing her ‘work’ than others.
Joni is firmly in Mitch McConnell’s hip pocket and has been for some time. As the picture unfolds through this election it seems much of Iowa’s “conservative” leaders aren’t that conservative after all. I’d guess for all the money Iowa vacuum’s up from the government and world trade our “conservative” leadership has trended globalist rather than populist in their outlook. There seems to be a deepening chasm between big business handlers and the common folk. This election should be interesting to see where the “family” farmers shake out. In that sense, Iowa is a microcosm of the world stage vis-à-vis the Netherlands and Germany.
