Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that all of the Republican candidates for president were committed to undermining our democracy and ignoring the rule of law.
Anchor Kristen Welker said, “Let me ask you about the stakes of the New Hampshire primary. If Trump wins on Tuesday night, is the primary effectively over? Will the general election have begun in your eyes? ”

Half-truth. Yes, we are a Constitutional Republic, but that’s not all we are.
People who say that the USA is, “not a democracy but a Constitutional Republic,” speak a half-truth, because our constitution establishes a democratic republic. Of course we are not a direct democracy where everyone votes on specific legislation. Yet, we cast our votes for members of government who represent us and that is democratic…i.e. democracy.
