Former Trump advisor Peter Navarro was on Thursday sentenced to four months in prison for refusing to comply with a congressional investigation into the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
Navarro was convicted in September on two counts of contempt of Congress — one for failing to produce documents related to the probe and another for skipping his deposition.
Prosecutors argued Thursday that Navarro showed “utter disregard” for the House committee’s probe and “utter contempt for the rule of law.” They asked the judge to impose a six-month prison term.

The Committee destroyed hundreds of document directly associated to Committee records without Court Consent. How can Navarro be sentenced when the Committee chooses what testimony they want to keep? This is wrong.
No Republican should go to jail for conviction of Contempt of Congress until Eric Holder goes to jail.
How ironic that they throw up “rule of law” while the OBiden administration violates laws daily on the southern border and everywhere else.

Well, that’s kind of my point…Hunter walks the street because - even beyond the will to do so - the GOP has no one with the authority to prosecute him in our courts. Who do they make criminal referral to? Well, it would go to Merritt Garland…who has the authority to prosecute. There is no one else who has that authority. It’s checkmate.

Not a joke. A better word would be outrage, atrocity, horror, evil or travesty. I never hear anyone on the left ever call something they do not like that is done or said by a conservative “a joke“. I know what you mean, but there is nothing humorous about sentencing to jail one of the finest men ever to serve in government.
