Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that President Joe Biden’s military strikes to dozens of sites in Iraq and Syria used by Iranian-backed militias only killed “some @#&$@##.”
Graham said, “They have four oil refineries you can see from space. If you knocked one of them out, they would stop this. Our American troops are in harm’s way. If the goal is to deter Iran, you’re failing miserably. If the goal is to protect American troops, you’re not achieving your goal. If you’ve convinced Iran you don’t want a wider war, they believe you. ‘Oh, I don’t want a war with you.’ they got the message they’re not afraid of us. They were afraid of Trump. They are not afraid of us.

I would take Graham more seriously had he questioned the presence of US troops in the region in the first place.
Some other FReeper (I forget who) made this awesome observation a few days ago: We send troops to protect Jordan’s border but we cannot send troops to protect our own border.
It should be illegal for politicians to own stock and have family work for the defense industry.
The Swamp may even be in cahoots with the rulers of Iran, as both would profit from a protracted war with Iran.
Perfumed Generalissimo Graham never misses an opportunity to put others in harms way.
In the headline he says We Only Killed ‘Some $#@&+$‘. In the body of the article it says we only killed “some @#&$@##.”. Not the same. That is very shoddy reporting unless whoever posted it got the quote wrong.

What is evil about “Iranian-backed”? Who is “US-backed” that does bad things? Is Iran interested in supporting Sunni organizations, vs Shiite?
Is the only reason for a US presence there to retain US influence? Why is US influence there desired?
Is the US dependent on Middle East oil? Is Europe stationing troops in the region?
Congressional representative stock ownership should be limited to an index fund of the entire US stock market. Certainly no individual stocks or options.
This gets problematic as the Representative could pass stock tips to family, friends, and other associates, who could find ways to funnel profits back to the Representative.
Relatives should be excluded from executive positions from companies who benefit from government contracts.
But again, this is problematic and subjective.

He’s right about one thing, Biden gave Iran advanced warning which allowed the Iranian backed militias to hide and take refuge, likely in Iran since Biden won’t touch them there. The ones we hit are likely of little strategic importance.
Now wait a minute right there! Are you saying our leaders might be on the take and siding with other nations like China, Russia, Ukraine, and Iran? Well, as the man said it, "son-of-a-bitch, that explains everything!"
