Tens of thousands of Americans are hospitalized with COVID-19 every week. Thousands die from it every month. And yet, an antiviral treatment proven to lessen the chances of severe outcomes is going underused.
The drug, Paxlovid, is lauded by experts as a powerful tool that can prevent hospitalization and death from COVID-19. But the high price and doctors’ hesitation to prescribe the pills mean the five-day treatment isn’t getting to everyone who would benefit from it.
“When you read in your local newspaper that in this hospital, they’ve got this many COVID patients, most of those are preventable hospitalizations,” said Dr. Amesh Adalja, a senior scholar at Johns Hopkins University who sees Paxlovid as a useful tool to treat COVID-19.

They say this yet I do not see this happening at all. And I’m not a hermit. I call BS.
I don’t believe this for a second. They may die with it but they don’t die from it.
at $1300 for a 5 day dose, it’s kind of pricey. Plus, hasn’t Pfizer gotten rich enough off Covid already?
The metallic taste side effect was so bad my wife discontinued taking it after 2 days.

At this point who would trust anything from the pharma industry or the corporatized hospitals. I believe there may be plenty of people for whom the shot and plaxovid are appropriate but after the years of opacity, lies, and the often deadly mis-treatment of patients who would do anything pharma, hospital doctors, or government suggests?
I am told that to this day if you die of/with covid in the hospital your family receives $9000. Covid $$$$ seem to be still flowing. (My news is about 2 weeks old and regards a death of about 6 weeks ago)

From what I understand, Paxlovid does not remove a virus, but stops its replication while you’re on it. This buys your immune system time to lock on to the infection and mount a defense.
I am sure there are good times and cases to use it.
This is that new Pfizermectin where Pfizer made an expensive version of Ivermectin. Better off using regular Ivermectin.

In addition, this drug is suppressed only because it can serve as a treatment for WuhanFlu infection. The existence of any reasonable treatment nullifies the emergency approval of the Vax. Without that Pharm has no immunity.
