It’s well known that the U.S. Armed Forces is struggling with recruiting, typically falling short of targets by tens of thousands. It turns out that the shortfall is almost entirely among white recruits, which is likely a result of the military’s focus on rooting out white supremacy and examining the phenomenon of “white rage.”

The Soldiers are sent far away from their own homes so that they have no allegiances to the locals of any given area. If required to attack civilians they would do it without reservation.

I worked with a guy in the Navy who was illiterate.
He wasn’t stupid, he excelled at his job .
Could not read to save his life though and eventually stagnated at E-5 ,he couldn’t pass the written exam .
He probably would have aced an oral exam.

I don’t want to get in a shoot out with the US military, or any military, regardless of my skills. Would I if I had to, yes but my preference would be to have them on my side.

There are many contributing factors in the low recruiting numbers.
Many potential recruits have witnessed the United States government attacks on military members’ religious liberty and their forcing the injection of clearly risky gene serums and the bumbling performance in exiting Afghanistan.
Who in their right mind, would volunteer to be forced to participate in any of that fiasco or receive a dishonorable discharge if they refused.

I knew an EM like that, couldn’t pass the E-6 exam. Eventually he received a command advance to E-6.
I knew a Sailor who made it to E-6 but scored so low on every exam he took that he was never selected for Chief. He knew his rate better than most. If I recall, he maxed out on award points, had many achievement awards, and had two Warfare pins. He barely made it to E-6. He did because of the points from the awards and pins. He would have been a senior SNCO in the Corps or Army.
