I am absolutely with you on that. I prefer the “Why can’t we all just get along?” approach.

I was talking with our 17 yo grandson last night as we were putting together a new AR his father bought. He always wanted to go into the military. He would be a great enlisted man in any position and would excel as a Special Forces type. He has given up the idea of joining until the military gets rid of the "wokism" and anti-white racism. He doesn't want to go to college. Instead, he will work locally on farms and gain trade skills. He already is involved in blacksmithing, masonry, and working on machinery.

I served over 30 years and know what a great asset he could be. I couldn't recommend he enter until they straighten out their act. Maybe when Trump gets back? But I'm afraid radicals and weirdos are deeply embedded and have to be removed first and the culture changed. That will take a long time. The mRNA "vaccine" mandates have made the situation even worse. Who wants to risk long-term problems from command stupidity and lawless orders? By then he will likely be off on a different track in civilian life with a young family.

I think his story could be repeated thousands of times throughout America. You can see it in the recruiting numbers.

god bless your grandson, and let me extend that to you and his parents. With the way he’s being raised, he sounds like a fine young man who will excel in anything he wants. He’s the future of our country.

Already been done - the Zetas were all trained by US Special Forces.

Agree. However.. from documentaries to movies about WW2.. they only won because they had a wife, children, mom, dad and many people to fight for.
A soldier cut off from these ties can’t win in the long haul, though their sociopathic tendencies may win short term, especially with their pathological narcissism.

He’s the future of our country.

Thank you. He is. So are his brother and sisters who are all very talented with excellent values and on excellent tracks to adulthood. They give us hope for the future.

Re: Navy sailor who was illiterate. (Post 6)

That sounds like an un-diagnosed case of dyslexia.

We had a staff sergeant in our squadron who was very sharp and fortunately his dyslexia was correctly diagnosed. It caused issues but his awareness of it helped him mitigate it's difficulties.

He was able to select a viable career track, at least to tech sergeant, when he PCS'd from our base.

Your grandson sounds great.

Let him hone his skills on his own time to defend your family.

It may come in very handy some day.

Yup. He is already doing that.
