BAKER, Calif. (AP) — A helicopter carrying six people crashed near a small town in Southern California’s Mojave Desert, authorities said.
The helicopter went down Friday evening near Baker, a town of 700 people about 95 miles (153 kilometers) southwest of Las Vegas, KABC-TV reported.

Very short article. This TSwift thing is getting ridiculous. Here is the last paragraph from that article.

Let’s speculate:
1. Weather?
2. “Controlled flight into terrain?” At 10:00 p.m. it is dark as a pit out by Baker, California. The few lights would be in the distance, if visible at all. Spatial disorientation is always easy and sudden, especially in a helicopter.
These accidents I find distressing. Godspeed to the six folks who passed. May peace and comfort somehow find their families.
What happened to the missing folks. Did they wander off in the dark looking for help? Abducted by aliens?
I wonder out loud: Are invading gangs of non-uniformed soldiers are asserting control over the southwest air cavalry that COULD take them all out???
It is a crash. What is left of the bodies is badly charred and make take time to identify.

I think those jokes just write themselves. I don’t intend to watch the game as I do not like football but they may as well toss her around the field as all eyes will be on her anyway. Even the TV news has to expound on her attendance come Sunday! As myself and others here have been saying all month - WHO CARES? I would bet that there will be an engagement announcement at that time - the attention may be waning and need to keep it going!!! The teenybopper may not know any better but a grown man should have pride enough not to be paraded around like a puppy dog...
I’ve been on a few but not that many and I’ll be honest with you I don’t like them at all. I was on a HH-53, been on Jayhawks and a Dolphin, being transported for antenna work in remote locations. And if we went down and I survived but was broken up I would have been wolf chow and the bears would have come sniffing around.
I went upwardly mobile and landed a job in a cube farm for several years before I went solo. Much safer, but I still fish... in areas populated by the brown bruins. So we move about in small groups.
This feels so weird. I have no idea who Taylor Swift is. Further, I don’t care. I find it astonishing that people live and die based on what this or that celebrity says or does. Don’t people have lives of their own?

Her fan base will be glad to inform you. THAT’s what is weird - just another Madonna, Lady Gaga. She gets tons of credit for being a great business woman (as well as singing) but at the same time will point out her base is made up of teenagers. I am sure they are just getting a head start on their knowledge of business.
No explanation - would she be getting this much press if she wasn’t attached at the hip to a professional football player?
As for lives of our own - we don’t seek out the celebrities. They kind of come at you any time you go online or turn on the TV..

As ubiquitous as her name and image are these days, you’ve gotta work hard to accomplish that.
Then they would be unidentified, not missing.
That plane crash on I-75 burned really badly, but they didn’t talk about missing people there, just the dead and the survivors.

I think [dons tin-foil hat] the sudden increase in plane and helicopter crashes are a way to make them so “normal” that no one will be surprised to hear that Kamala Harris was killed when a helicopter crashed while carrying her to a speaking event.
