A mass shooting in China is said to have happened in Shandong Province New Year Day, Feb 10. Up to 21 murdered including two families and two police. Murderer(s) used modified staple gun to shoot bullets. Also used cleaver.

I’ve been hearing about it for a couple days, writhing for news reports. None have come out yet. China of course censors news. Below is one translated report from those putting out the info. I’ll link to others below. There are also YouTube channels that report on it.

From Teacher Li

Some reliable news updates from Zhaike Village, Rizhao Ju County, Shandong Province:

The murderer was in his thirties, with a slight disability, and was adopted to his uncle since he was a child.

The deceased were two families, including children.

One of the dead was the teacher of the murderer.

The "earth cannon" used is transformed with decoration tools.

In the middle of the night of the incident, the villagers found that they had called 120 first, causing the medical staff to arrive at the scene before the police. A medical staff was eager to save people, but the murderer squatted at the scene, causing him to be attacked and killed.

At present, the government and police are in the village, and the village has been closed.

Yep, thus proving gun control solves nothing. If those people could have defended themselves, they’d probably still be alive.

The only hope for the CCP is a Fission BBQ.
"A massive murder occurred in Zhaike Village, Luohe Town, Rizhao Ju County, Shandong Province. News of the incident was blocked by the authorities, and relevant reports and online information were deleted and blocked. However, news gradually spread overseas, indicating that the murderer was a local villager in his 10s...

...The more reliable news is that the murderer is in his thirties, has a slight disability, and was adopted to his uncle since he was a child.

The murder occurred in the middle of the night (that is, in the early morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year). When the villagers found out, they first called the 120 emergency hotline. Medical staff Arrive at the scene before the police. A medical worker was eager to save people, but the murderer squatted at the scene and made a surprise attack, causing him to be attacked and killed.

A netizen who claimed to be from Ju County said: The murderer was a migrant worker. He was abused by his stepfather at home and bullied by his teacher in school. During the Chinese New Year, he went home and shot his teacher and his whole family with a nail gun he modified.

Then went home and took a nap.

Around seven o'clock, they went out again and shot them from house to house. People who were celebrating the New Year were all watching TV at home and no one came to visit, so they didn’t notice it. The sound of firecrackers outside covered up the sound of gunfire. We visited five houses in total, 14 people died and 5 were seriously injured."

I think one of those tools to sink a nail into concrete. It uses a .22ish size blank as the propelent.

My Dad had one of those. But those are single shot, aren’t they?
How could he kill that many people with one? I think they would run…

A Twitter video alleged that this was done at random by a laid-off member of the local PD. Then there’s this other account.

[13th February 2024 – (Rizhao City) A village massacre in Juxian County, Shandong Province, China, has left nearly 20 people dead. Disturbingly, even a doctor who arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance tragically lost their life. The incident prompted the mobilisation of armed police and military forces to pursue the assailant.

However, shortly after the incident unfolded, the information surrounding it appeared to be systematically blocked by Chinese authorities.

The incident, initially referred to as the “Juxian Murder Case” or the “Zhaike Village Massacre,” briefly trended on social media platforms. Speculation arose regarding the alleged perpetrator, who was rumoured to have a disability and a history of abuse by relatives.

According to several mainland Chinese media outlets and online sources, the tragedy occurred on the first day of the Lunar New Year, February 10th. It is believed that a man in his thirties, armed with a homemade firearm, carried out the violent rampage. Shockingly, he did not spare even the emergency medical personnel who arrived at the scene. After killing more than ten people, he swiftly fled the area. The incident quickly gained attention on platforms such as Douyin, with hashtags related to the “Juxian Murder Case” and “Zhaike Village” trending.

Additionally, online forums such as “Chigua Net” featured alleged insiders providing further details. These individuals claimed that the suspect, who had a mild disability, had worked outside the village for many years. They also mentioned that during his childhood, he had been mistreated by his adopted uncle. As he grew older, he faced legal troubles and was imprisoned, allegedly due to a complaint filed by one of his former teachers. These experiences seemingly fueled his desire for revenge, leading to the tragic events that unfolded upon his release.

It has been reported that the suspect used a homemade nail gun during the attack, taking advantage of the noise from firecrackers to conceal the sound of his weapon. He methodically targeted individuals he had grievances with, which included his stepfather and former teacher, among others. This suggests that the motives behind the massacre were carefully calculated.

Following the incident, a massive manhunt was launched by the authorities, involving armed police and military personnel. Initial reports from mainland Chinese media stated that the suspect had been apprehended.

However, as discussions surrounding the case continued to gain traction, all information related to the Juxian Murder Case mysteriously disappeared. There are suspicions that the government has imposed a comprehensive information blackout on the incident, leaving the authenticity and details of the event unverifiable.]

In my younger days we, of course, had to set up a target at a construction site and try this ourselves. The thing about those 22 cartridge nail guns, is they are made to fire a nail at high speed into concrete or some other hard material. They are NOT made for range; we literally couldn’t hit a target ten feet away most of the time. The nail is not aerodynamic in the least and tends to lose momentum and just go into spin as soon as it leaves the gun. So, unless this guy was literally just running up to people and shooting nails directly into them (which I guess is possible) I find this rather implausible.

Yeah, see some random dude walking around with that kind of nail gun, keep your distance.

That said, they likely aren't very accurate beyond contact distance.

I’m sure it will be blamed on American gun owners and the NRA.

Who else could have caused it.

An air-powered staple gun can drive 4-inch staples that nail 2x4s together. I would think a battery-powered version could do the same. I bet that’s what they mean.

The first - a cop going nuts after being axed, has public order implications. The second - a psychotic outbreak after years of very specific accumulated grievance, doesn’t. If the first were true, censors would be well-advised to morph the social media narrative into the second.

Still enough to terrorize others. I have one of those .22 cartridge nail guns, for driving into concrete. I suppose putting it against someone's car window would cause panic to the driver.
