House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday morning shut down the Senate’s foreign aid bill and blasted Joe Biden in a fiery press conference.
Last week Republican Senators voted against advancing a compromised ‘border security bill’ that would have allocated more money to foreign countries while largely ignoring the US border.
The Senate’s $118.28 billion national security supplemental package allocated $60 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
Only $20.23 billion was allocated to secure the US border amid an unprecedented invasion of military-age males from Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and China.
After this bill failed to pass the Senate last week, Schumer rolled out another supplemental aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.
The Senate early Tuesday passed Schumer’s supplemental aid package and allocated $95 billion to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. 22 Republicans voted in favor of giving foreign countries money while ignoring the crisis at the US border.
The $95 billion package died in the House. Speaker Johnson shut it down.
.... Snip....
Speaker Johnson blasted Joe Biden
“A man too incapable of being held accountable for mishandling classified information is certainly unfit for the Oval Office,” Johnson said.

Don’t hold your breath just yet.
Yeah. I’m waiting for, and expecting, the sellout.
bravo, Speaker Mike.
Watch the senate makes some superficial changes to the bill, pretending that they’re concessions, and then Johnson signing on, or at least allowing a vote. There are enough RINO’s in the House that the bill will pass.
Question: can enough Congressmen simply bypass Johnson?
Election season is soon and this was supposed to help finance their campaigns.
Tom McClintock, Ken Buck and friends to pull a “discharge petition” out of their traitorous asses in 3...2...1...
Zelensky knows everything.
The Billions of $$$ to Ukraine are hush-money to keep him from spilling the beans on Bidet and his handlers.
I think it is a tactical mistake to press on Biden’s incompetence. Don’t drive him from office. Make him stay as the November candidate. Block him, surely. But don’t make the senility a big deal. Not now.
Well, think about where we are TODAY!
The Speaker of the House is second in line behind the VP to assume Presidency.
So what else could go wrong? Maybe …. control of the House flips to Democrats? And Kamalalah can’t take the job ….
Well, does this make me a conspiracist? Or a leftist? Or a Putin apologist?
What the hell is a “discharge petition”?
Praise God for miracles!
“Ladies and gentlemen, we have a Speaker from Louisiana with brass ......!”
Lindsey Graham is firey on occasion.
“Yeah. I’m waiting for, and expecting, the sellout.”
$$$$$$$$$$$$
I don’t disagree, but at least he’s SAYING the right things, which is refreshing in itself.
Maybe he’s holding out for a serious concession, like REAL border control.
Or maybe he’s been cued to say that to help give cover to the Dems when they force Biden to drop out.
Who knows anymore these days? Not that I did ANY days.
Thanks to that congressman from Florida, McCarthy is gone from speakership.
It's about time that some Republicans in office started to point this out. We Freepers have known this for several years. The propaganda media finds the lone sympathetic mother with 2 children for their pictures, ignoring the thousands of military age men pouring across our border.
stop mourning every day just because you are certain to die someday in future. Glass is half full philosophy can prolong your life.
Military age in one thing, but most males I observed look like inmates from any prison.
It means you are NOT a zeeper.
Hopefully the House doesn’t flip in the meantime due to the incompetence of the GOP leadership in these special elections.
