A conservative California preacher invited to deliver the invocation as a guest chaplain in the U.S. House last month has drawn the ire of self-identified atheist Rep. Jared Huffman and 25 other House Democrats.
Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills, who spoke of “a coming day of judgment,” in his Jan. 30 invocation, is described in the Democrats’ letter of protest as a “radical Christian Nationalist who helped fuel the January 6th insurrection and [who] has a long record of hateful vitriol toward non-Christians, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQ community.”
In their letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson, who invited the evangelical leader to offer the prayer, Democrats cite a particular reference to “national sins” that is part of Mr. Hibbs’ 257-word invocation. Lawmakers say the “sins” reference is an allusion “to the militant and fanatical agenda [Mr. Hibbs] preaches about the LGBTQ+ community, Jews, Muslims, and anyone who conflicts with his ‘biblical worldview.’”

Jesus did say “Everyone will hate you because of me.” (Luke 21:17)
I occasionally attend Hibbs’ church, which is across the Brea Hills, about 15 miles east of here. He is wildly popular. On Sunday mornings, worshippers coming to church cause traffic jams on the local roads.
Hibbs is also socially and politically active, and the Calvary Chapel even does ballot harvesting during election seasons. Voters can bring in their ballots and drop them off at the church.
The problem is the Demoncrats decry and the believing Church remains silent. It’s time for believers to be one voice like Christ intended.

from what i’ve seen through the last three years, Jack Hibb’s preaching has been solid. thank God for him. but our Lord Jesus himself warned: ‘Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.’ Matt 10:34 KJV. there will be no peace between His children and the heathen until the very end.

Please everyone, pray for Pastor Jack's protection and even that the prayer he prayed before congress that day ( yes it was POWERFUL)... will continue to convict those who were in attendance and are fighting it.
How I pray for a mighty outpouring of God's Spirit over the leaders of our nation!
I have been a part of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills for nine years and God is moving mighty in our midst. Pastor Jack is a wonderful pastor!!
They should invite him back often.
