A Houma, Louisiana, homeowner heard strange noises shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday and went downstairs to find an alleged intruder, whom he shot in the forehead.
4WWL reported the alleged intruder, 34-year-old Dex Herbert, fled after being shot. Police used a K9 to find Herbert a few blocks away holed up in another house.
WGNO noted a second suspect, a female named Tye Corbitt, was discovered in the same house as Herbert. She was allegedly holding a handgun when police located her and she was also arrested.

I don’t what to think about a person who gets shot in the forehead and then flees the scene.
in the forehead? Did the homeowner use a BB gun?
That he was lucky the homeowner used a pistol and not a rifle.
A double-tap might have sealed the deal.
“Intruders are white trash...”
You don’t know Louisiana.
She’s lucky she wasn’t holding an acorn.
Shooter used his son’s bb gun?
When that adrenaline kicked in, IT KICKED IN!
Dude was on auto pilot at that point.

?
A 9mm very well could bounce off at 15 feet. Still messed up his face and probably cracked his skill. It’s a thick part of the skull.
Probably any normal pistol round has a fair chance of bouncing.
no kidding? I can see a .22 short, but a 9mm. I’d say thats gods way of saying, you best straighten up.
Glancing shot.
If the homeowner was aiming for the forehead, it was a darn good shot, but he should’ve been aiming for center-of-mass.
*Alleged* intruder was *allegedly* shot in the head.
Who writes this crap?
One can always tell certain things about a crime report from the absence of certain information.

I trucked all around this country (except New England states). There’s plenty of drug fueled crooks of every color in every state. I been warned over the CB by local truckers what to watch out for, where to park for the night, etc.
“holed up....”
