What about the Classical Learning Test? I have a real issue with the evolution of the SAT, in particular, anything having to do with the language portion of the test because grammar is not classical English grammar, but modern American grammar simplified for ebonics speakers. And sentence structure and paragraph structure for writing are analyzed according to the fit to standardized patterns which leads to boring, stilted, proasaic writing. William F Buckley would probably flunk.

At the same time, places like Harvard have done a marvelopus job of deprecating the value of their credential. Thinking that it is the credential that is of value rather than that the credential represents rigorous selection according to intellectual capability and the subjection of that ability to rigorous education that builds both factual knowlege and critical thinking. Instead thinking is replaced by wrote adherence to leftist doctrine and factual knowledge is replace by the ravings of critical theory and the student who can be brainwashed is selected and the student who excels and being brainwashed is credentialed. And you get clever mushheads in the process.

> Yale University will once again require standardized testing for students applying for admission in the fall of 2025. <

I always wanted to go to Yale and get a PhD in Medieval Basket-Weaving.
But I don’t test well. So I’d better apply now.

As for the tuition, who cares? I’m sure the Democrats will eventually forgive all my college loans.

I’d like to say more, but I’ve got to go out and get me a swell Yale hat.

“Yale University To Reinstate Standardized Test Requirement For Admissions”

Why does Yale HATE MINORITIES and other people who come from less than lilly-white private schools?

This has the potential of saving a lot of taxpayer dollars with so many idiots currently being allowed to get out of their lane and into college. Most have no business being there. They have caused “wacist” higher education to be totally dumbed down and now most graduates with a diploma are worthless idiots these days. They don’t want to work anyway. They want to travel around Europe (Joe Bidenskyyyyyyyyyyy calls it their “dream”) on somebody else’s dime.

This is amazing:

Yale indicated its research “from before and after the pandemic has consistently demonstrated that, among all application components, test scores are the single greatest predictor of a student’s future Yale grades. This is true even after controlling for family income and other demographic variables, and it is true for subject-based exams such as AP and IB, in addition to the ACT and SAT.” ,/i>

How much data did they add "after" the pandemic? There's only been one or two classes and they haven't even graduated yet.

So virtually all their data comes from before the pandemic. Which means when they ended the test requirement, they knew they were diminishing their application process but they did it anyway to virtue signal.

In addition by saying "data before and after the pandemic" they are knowingly lying to make it seem that they learned something from their "experiment."

There's a whole parable of the left in this action.

Companies will still hire, and promote, minorities that are completely incompetent.
A BS in ChemE from Purdue is the same HR check as is a Grambling BA in African History.

“Our experience with both test-optional and test-required policies has persuaded us of three things. First, when used thoughtfully as part of a whole-person review process, tests can help increase rather than decrease diversity in our class. Second, a narrow focus on only the ACT and SAT can discourage promising students from considering colleges like Yale. Finally, inviting students to apply without any test scores can, inadvertently, disadvantage students from low-income, first-generation, and rural backgrounds.”

***********************************************************

The foregoing is radical, marxist hogwash, cover your ass, doublespeak. The democratic party communist scum that run Yale had no choice but to reinstitute testing because the world, more and more, has got “universities” and “colleges” number.

Meaning, the world has awakened to the fact that giving young people a fraudulent piece of paper (diploma) dooms them in life and is an unprosecuted CRIME (i.e. fraud).

There is no replacement for breathing just like there is no replacement for “merit”.

Big step. What's next? Are they going to start giving out grades that are earned by merit rather than 'given' based on Kolor, Kink and Kin (NEPO babies)?

Democrats the KKK party of Jim Crow, the Civil War and today's Academia.

iows, they got a whole bunch of worthless admissions that couldn't see it thru the first year...

I like how they're including "rural" now as a metric...I guess it means that all this time they probably weren't getting the poor white country boys and girls to apply.....maybe their admission groups were just so diverse with asians, blacks, jews, and illegals they didn't have any red blooded American whites..

how can you have anti white racist classes without whites attending?
