I’m betting they are under orders to do nothing until after the election. If an attack occurs and it became known the perps came across the border that means a Trump landslide. The ChiComs and the Muzzies do not want that.

I had a landline until I found out that it changed from transmitting over its own wires to coming in on the TV cable.
Test run. See how much disruption was caused. Determine how fast the targets reacted. The usual suspects would be: Russia, China, Iran and the Norks. Carried out by 3rd party actors so no fingerprints and plausible deniability but given funding and tech support from one or more of the previously mentioned.
Of course we will never know the real reason. ATT will give some bullsh!t explanation because they’ll be told to. The next time will be much larger and much more disruptive. Think electric and water utilities plus communications.
If it’s the one, I’m thinking of, it was one of the legacy providers wanting to stop supporting copper land lines in more remote areas of California.
For a while, I had no service in northern Connecticut/western mass, then a few areas seems to work, a bit slowly, but once you got out of that one functioning tower again, no service.
My vote is Ukraine did it because they aren’t getting money fast enough. The CIA did set them up as world class hackers

I am thinking so. Listening to radio most of the day WTAM 1100. Seems the FBI and DHS are in a bit of a panic. And understandably so as FirstNet is still having problems in multiple big cities.
If anyone doesn’t know what FirstNet is ...it is a system specifically for First Responders. It was set up after 9/11 so they could communicate.
Lost cell service early this morning and couldn’t call out or receive a call. However, surprisingly a spam call managed to get through even though I supposedly had no service . Go figure.
