Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Friday on MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight” that Republicans want to control recreational sex and create a “patriarchal theocracy.”

They can walk it back as much as they want. They have done this. Who put those judges there? Not Democrats, not Independents. Republicans put those judges there. Republicans are taking women’s bodies by force, and we cannot let them do. It has to come to an end.”

It appears that the focus groups have told the DNC that abortion laws are a political wedge issue that can help boost Democratic Party votes in swing states and districts. The problem is if they use the “A” word in campaign ads, it will also drive certain independents and evangelicals to the polls in large numbers. That they don't want.
So how can you campaign on a pro-abortion platform without saying so? Your platform says that Republicans want to control recreational sex! I mean who in their right mind would be against healthy consensual sex among adults?
Of course the obvious retort is that recreational sex is self-centered and often about using prostitutes, involves sex trafficking, the spread of STD’s, exploitation, unethical ONS behavior, etc. Republicans should include some safe sex and urge taking personal responsibility for ethical and consensual sex in their debates and advertising. And yes, point out that the late 1960’s the US tried “free love” and that didn't really bring about a utopia. Becoming the party of consensual, responsible and ethical sex sounds pretty good to me.
Does she want to empty out the prisons and let the little kids run free ???
