The Curious Case of Nikki Haley
Real Clear Politics ^ | 2/24/24 | Frank Meale

Do you remember the Brad Pitt movie, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”? The title character suffered from a unique condition in which he was born an old man and then kept getting younger and younger until he died as a newborn baby.

Today, we are witnessing the equally curious transformation of a politician from a once reliable Republican conservative to a radical Democrat who seems intent on killing her own presidential political career in the crib. I am talking, of course, about Nikki Haley.

[snip]

Now, for the last two months, since shortly before the Iowa caucuses, we have been given the picture of a Nikki Haley who is either a shameless narcissist or a purposeful saboteur who aims to destroy not just Trump but the very Republican Party that adores him. I suppose she thinks she has some higher goal than party loyalty. Well, that’s fine, but then the party should spew her out before she does any further damage.

Remember, every syllable she utters during the primary will come back to hurt the party tenfold. It’s almost as though she’s become a stalking horse for Biden, trying out various lines of attack that might be useful for the current president against Trump in the fall campaign.

[snip]

Another thing she has been lying about for months is how strong she is against Joe Biden in a general election matchup. She constantly claims that she can beat Biden in the general election, and Trump can’t. But that’s not what the polls show.

A good piece on Haley and her purpose in staying in the race.

Also, I like an author who calls a "lie" a lie rather than just dancing around the issue with euphemisms.

Yep. Really the question is, who is funding her-—I know, DemoKKKrats, but in particular? Is it Soros?

As far as I’m concerned she has now declared herself as an agent of the DNC

The final three paragraphs of the article:

“She’s between a rock and a hard place. Since she’s now suffering from a bona fide case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, it serves her purpose to remain in the race and sabotage Trump any way she can. It doesn’t matter how much damage she does to herself or to her party. She has left reality behind.

Haley told ABC, “Seventy percent of Americans have said they don’t want Donald Trump or Joe Biden to be their only choices. Fifty-nine percent of Americans have said Donald Trump is too old and Joe Biden is too old to run for president.”

So what does she make of last week’s Economist poll on the Republican primary race, where 79% of Republicans said they want Donald Trump to be president and only 14% want Haley? Come to think of it, maybe she is a narcissist.”

Once upon a time, Nikki Haley was the darling of FR. Many loved her and wrote like she was the MAGA equivalent to Trump.

I didn’t buy it. In general women are too equivocal to be relied upon for a powerful office. Too many examples, but Haley herself is a good one.

Tricky Nikki is a Deep State Uniparty hack. She exemplifies the disloyal saboteurs Trump had in his cabinet in his first term in office. These people need to be exposed and rejected for office of any kind.

“...Nikki Haley who is either a shameless narcissist...”

Nailed it right there with a bonus of millions of democrat bucks. At least she isn’t in position to destroy any more history, flags, monuments etc.

Agree, an in fact it’s hard to think of many women that manage to hold it together at high levels of power, including many that were MAGA, or MAGA-Lite, before there was even MAGA. Then they hit menopause and morph into Trump-hating monsters, such as Liz Cheney, who, believe it or not had pretty much been MAGA most of her time in the House.

The first time I clearly focused on Nikki Haley was her decision to remove confederate flags from SC Capital. Kind of 1984ish I thought —- History does not fit the PC norms? Just delete it. And I’m not surprised Haley would not care about US history: IMG-9310

Reid Hoffman has been mentioned as Nimarata’s big donor.

I worked on a lot of campaigns and one common theme was that big donors could cause big trouble.

They want their way or the highway—and they seem to pick the most awful issues and cram them down the candidates throat.

Then the candidate gets crushed because the voters hate the new message—and are really angry that the politician started fighting for the other team.

That is exactly what happened to Nicki.

There is no coming back from it—fatal error.

Bye bye.

Footnote: The correct answer is to tell the big contributor to take their money and shove it—and struggle to make it up elsewhere.

“She would lose all credibility as a potential Republican candidate for president, for Senate or any future race.”

Allowing for the fact most of the public’s memory is measured in nanoseconds, I don’t think she will ever have credibility again. Time for her to take a position at one of the liberal media outlets.

Maybe so, but the Left seems pretty happy with Soros.

Remember it is not candidates who decide most things. It is their campaign staff. In this case, whoever hers is, they are attached to the Never Trump handful across the nation, but particularly at the RNC.

It is THEY who have told Haley that if she stays in the race, then after Trump is assassinated it will be she who will be the party’s leader. No, she won’t win this year, but she will inherit the party leadership for next time, because if they can just get Trump assassinated, then all the populace will return to proper worship of the Swamp.

Look at Liz Cheney.

What is she doing these days?

Lol.

Hint: The Quislings end up writing books that sit in the discount bin of the few remaining bookstores out there. A year later the bookstore owner is begging anyone who enters the store to take the book for free.

Has Trump called out and asked her who’s paying her to work for the Dems and Biden?
