Adam Schiff Trolls Conservatives to Gain Senate Race Advantage
Breitbart ^ | 03/04/2024 | JOEL B. POLLAK

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is hated by conservatives, but is running a daring and effective ad campaign in which he is targeting conservatives to encourage them to support Republican Steve Garvey in the primary above Democratic rivals.

Californians go to the polls on March 5, as part of Super Tuesday. Many have already submitted their ballots by mail.

Under California’s “jungle” primary, the top two finishers — of any party — in the primary automatically advance to the general election. Schiff could have a hard time against Democrats, especially female Democrats, in November.

I don't know who would vote for that creepy bug-eyed liar. Oh, liberals.

This is nonsense. It’s trolling Republicans to encourage Republicans to support a Republican??

What are Republicans supposed to do? Support a Democrat in the hopes that a Democrat might win??

Yes, Schiff thinks that a Republican would be easier to beat than Porter. In that, he’s likely correct, because it’s California.

But Porter is just as much of a leftist as Schiff. It’s not like she’s some moderate Democrat.

Who cares? It's not like any of the Democrat alternatives are preferable to Schiff. Garvey probably has no chance in the general election in California, but better to run against someone as provably detestable as Schiff than against some unknown Democrat.

Okay, so the way this will work out is that shifty-eyed Schiff-less will be the only D and the ballot because of his brilliant tactic and so he will win in November. Then, crazy eyes will be a disaster and embarrassment for California and the lunatic left. This will drive the rest of the country further to the right. We take our victories where we can get them. Deportation is key.

Before I learned what it was I was confused by two mailers about Garvey I received, marked a paid for by the Schiff campaign. It said Garvey is “too conservative for California” and… horrors… voted for Trump twice. All in all, far from a stinging indictment. Now we know that it was designed to get GOO to the polls to vote for Garvey , rather than for Porter or Lee as preferable to Schiff

If we did this the media would denounce it as a dirty trick, but of course it’s ok if a rat does it

I’m pulling for Garvey, though I read he has like a million bucks in the bank while Schiff has 30. On the other hand, Californians love to vote for celebrities, so we’ll see

Poll for the general or the primary? Because in the primary the D vote is divided....

It’s already an extreme Left Senate seat. At least Garvey in the ballot would offer an alternative that would at least get out conservative messaging and call out how the Democrats are destroying California and the USA.

Our best bet to keep him out of the Senate is for Garvey to finish #3 on Tuesday. Think about it.

“extreme Left Senate seat.”

I think you already know that Senate seats are won by whole-state elections, unlike those of congress critters. So if the “Senate seat” is extreme left, then that means the whole state is extreme left.

From the article:

there is reason for Republicans to like the fact that Garvey is doing well in the polls, even if it helps Schiff. Garvey’s presence on the ticket could help embattled California Republicans in several congressional races by increasing Republican turnout, which could help Republicans retain control of the House of Representatives.

Also, it is a good thing that there will be a choice on the Senate ballot, rather than two copies of the same thing.

I think you’re right. Two D’s on the ballot would have to expose some of the abundant corruption of the Left to win. This tit-for-tat will be fun to watch and most instructive to the state and nation.

I agree, but in this case I prefer to draw to the inside straight,
knowing the small likelihood of success, and I cast my vote accordingly. Schiff will be no worse that the others in the filthiest tier of rats, so I say let’s roll the dice

California is the home of DMV Motor Voter and ballot harvesting. Polls are secondary to Democrat ballot harvesting.

Yes, that was my point. If Schiff wins, it’s just more of the same from that seat. I’d like to see Garvey on the statewide ballot just for the debates when he could actually criticize Democrat policy to a statewide audience. Two Rats running that doesn’t happen. Even if Garvey loses the general, it’s a win IMO just getting to the general election ballot as a conservative Republican.

Maybe it’s politics in the “jungle”.

RCV causes a lot of chaos. Republicans may 2nd choice a Democrat to take on Schiff. If they all pick the same, the election ballot may be 2 Democrats.

Schiff wants a timeout where it’s him versus an R in a lopsided final race.
