(Luis Cornelio, Headline USA) Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and impeached former President Bill Clinton are “quietly” and “steadily” staging a comeback ahead of the 2024 presidential election, according to a lengthy profile published by the New Yorker on Monday.
The former secretary of state and her husband are covertly supporting the scandal-ridden re-election campaign of President Joe Biden, who faces challenges in polls indicating a potential loss to former President Donald Trump, the same opponent who defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.
According to the New Yorker, Hillary Clinton has been providing advice to Vice President Kamala Harris on appearances, including guidance for an interview at the New York Times‘s DealBook conference in 2023.
This friendship wasn’t always formal, as the magazine reported that Hillary Clinton initially assisted Harris in preparing for early foreign trips during the newly inaugurated Biden-Harris administration.
Not to be outdone by his wife, Bill Clinton—described by the New Yorker as “persona non grata” due to his infamous sex scandals—has privately met with Biden at least twice since the inauguration. The former president has reportedly spoken privately “about how they consider themselves unique in the modern Democratic Party.”
Significantly, the two have discussed the incumbent’s “obstacles in a political environment warped by Trump.”
These conversations come as Trump conformably cruises the Republican primary in preparation for the 2024 general election, while Biden faces criticism over his age, mental acuity and ability to govern the country.
Adding to Biden’s list of troubles, Hillary Clinton and former First Lady Michelle Obama have emerged as potential replacements for the 2024 presidential election. However, neither woman has expressed interest in running for office yet—at least for now.
The New Yorker‘s report has reignited these rumors on social media, with Trump advisor Jason Miller jesting, “SHE’S RUNNING. Crooked has been warming up in the bullpen this entire time.”
For her part, Hillary Clinton has scolded Trump on social media, recycling much of her 2016 campaign rhetoric surrounding the former president: “Be alarmed, and vote accordingly,” she wrote in response to speculative reports that Trump may back a national abortion ban.
Yeah.......pretty sure cabbage odor is not what folks are looking for. Even libgressives.....
Normally I’d say Hillary might be the only person who has the experience to “step in” at the convention and be a viable candidate to replace demented Joe.
Only one problem, she is unlikeable and unpopular and that cannot be overcome.
She isn’t running. She just gave a speech talking about how old everyone was. She is just as old.
She will start yapping like a little dog tied to a post, but she won’t run.
And it would be particularly fun if The Wookie got involved.
Joe Biden isn’t being replaced. It would have happened by now.
Bill and Hillary always choose their words carefully. Last year, Hillary very cleverly said that she would not challenge Joe Biden for the nomination. However, if Joe were to step aside or be removed from the ticket, this leaves Hillary with an opportunity to step in and seek the nomination, and still say she kept her word about not challenging Joe.
Frankly was expecting this, but thought they’d move earlier. It’s too late for a viable run now.

I see Joe having some sort of medical episode right before the convention. A replacement will be chosen by acclamation. No need for Hillary to campaign — she can just quietly position herself for the inevitable crisis. (But I still think Michelle is more likely than Hillary)

Hillary has always been scheming to become POTUS and sees Biden’s likely being replaced at the DNC convention as her big chance. Between Biden’s cratering poll numbers, daily new revelations about the Biden crime family and his quickly advancing dementia I do not see him credibly being able to run for president. I fully expect him to bow out of the race and be replaced at the convention..
Democrats have few options for Biden’s replacement. Hillary can rightfully claim she has the name recognition and won the popular vote against Trump in 2016. However Hillary is pushing 80 and had some health problems of her own in 2016. I wouldn’t rule out that she could be the nominee in 2024
