State of the Race: Six key Senate seats Republicans look to flip in 2024
Fox News ^ | 3/10/24 | Kyle Morris, Paul Steinhauser

Republicans are gearing up for what could be an epic showdown for majority control of the Senate with several contentious elections around the country later this year.

Democrats control the U.S. Senate with a 51-49 majority, but Republicans are looking at a favorable Senate map in 2024, with Democrats defending 23 of the 34 seats up for grabs. Three of those seats are in red states former Donald Trump carried in 2020 - West Virginia, Montana and Ohio.

Five other seats, one of which is held by an independent, are in key swing states narrowly carried by President Biden in 2020 - Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Texas and Florida, where incumbents Ted Cruz and Rick Scott, respectively, are seeking re-election, appear to be the only potentially competitive GOP-held seats up for grabs next year.

Ohio

Longtime Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown is the only member of his party to win a non-judicial, statewide election in Ohio in the past decade. As Brown runs in 2024 for a fourth six-year term representing Ohio, he is facing heavy targeting by Republicans in the state that was once a premier general election battleground but has shifted red over the past six years.

Trump carried Ohio by eight points in his 2016 presidential election victory and his 2020 re-election defeat. Last year, Trump’s handpicked Senate candidate in Ohio, Sen. JD Vance, topped longtime Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan by six points despite Ryan running what political experts considered a nearly flawless campaign.

Same chance they've had in years past that McConnell and the GOPe have whiffed on bigly with RINO losers like Martha McSally and Kelly Loefler while working against conservatives. It's going to be no different this time unless he's moved aside now.

In PA, I predict there’s no chance at all it will flip. The “Casey” name here is like the “Kennedy” name in MA. Also, between propaganda and the cheat, count PA out, it is done.

Cruz will cruise to re-election.

They are dreaming if they think that seat is competitive. It’s a lock.

Yeah, and 2022 was going to be the “red wave”.

The “special election” in Georgia torpedoed that strategy. Even when the Republicans knew what was coming. Because certain Republicans at the state level had engineered that farce and cheat.

The Senate is the agency of business in the USA which is the Military-Industrial Complex and the Medical -Industrial Complex.

The Senate will default-by hook or by crook- in the direction that defends both these institutions most effectively

Ya want to track means and mechanism of voter and electoral fraud most easily? -concentrate on the Senate races as there are far fewer of them than the House

Casey is running for re-election in PA. The PA republican party is responsible for legislating/allowing indiscriminate mail-in ballots. Philly and Pittsburgh are run by democrat machines that cheat perennially. Neither the republican party or democrat controlled PA Supreme Court have done anything of significance to confront democrat cheating in PA, which has been going on for decades.

In light of PA democrat voter fraud, which continues unabated, the chances of Casey losing are slim to none - IMHO.

Same in Maine where cowidly RINO Collins has endorsed dim RINO Demi against King, not even an outside that that’s going to work.

The economy will drive a lot so Democrats will have to deflect and distract.

The weird folks in Nazi garb will make many more appearances I guess among other false flags and strange incidents.

As for me war mongering is not the answer America must get its own house in order.

China is defeated by American economic strength Trump knows that.

Republicans who rage about Ukraine and want to ban TikTok which is censorship I will not support.

Yes, McConnell needs to be ousted now so that he can’t kneecap conservative Republican senate candidates again on his way out the door. Ruining conservatives in the primaries is one of Mitch’s favorite sports.

Kelly Loeffler was the one of the most conservative members of the Senate, so stop with the crap. One of the first things she did was stand up on the Senate floor and attack Mitt Romney for trying to convict Trump after his impeachment. She was a rock solid MAGA Trump supporter, and Trump always endorsed her.

We need to have a message to counter abortion as a woman’s health issue that the democrats are using. It seems to get their voters out.

The only concern are the vote fraud machines in Harris, Dallas, and Bexar counties. Especially Harris.

The republican commie baby killers in PA will ensure that Casey wins in PA. They provide a 2% to 3% vote against any republican. That translates to a net gain of 4% to 6% in real votes.
