Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) on Monday accused ABC’s George Stephanopoulos of trying to “bully” her during an interview Sunday morning when he pressed her on why she endorsed former President Trump.
“George Stephanopoulos tried to bully me and shame me as a rape survivor over my support for Donald Trump, which is insane to me, because he wasn’t found guilty of rape anywhere,” she said on Fox News’s “The Faulkner Focus.”
“But the other thing is that, George Stephanopoulos, he doesn’t — he has never felt the shame of rape. He does not know what this journey is like. It’s a journey of healing over a lifetime,” she added.
Mace and Stephanopoulos got caught in a heated debate during ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday when he asked her how she could endorse Trump after he was found liable for sexual battery in a defamation lawsuit with E. Jean Carroll last year. He had played a clip of her delivering testimony about being a victim of rape shortly before she announced her bid for Congress in 2019.

She should have responded with a comment about Clinton raping Juanita Brodderick.
First of all, I think Nancy could take him. George is about 5’ tall.
Secondly, she should have retorted:
“George, did you enjoy your stay on Epstein Island?”
Yup- she should’ve pressed him on his support for Clinton then asked if he voted for the person for the raped Tara Reade
He played a video of her saying after Jan 6 that Trump should never be allowed back in the White House.
She came off looking like an ass because of her own stupid comment from back then. Then she tries to wiggle out of it with the whole victim shame thing.
I’m no fan of him, but this is what she gets for siding with Democrats and RINOs after the stolen election and blaming Trump for Jan 6.
Worked for Clinton. Worse, HE brought up the topic knowing she had been raped.

Vile pathetic man. That interview upset me for sure. He was trying to take away whatever power she built up from being raped. A way of her dealing with the trauma. The fact that no one in the GOP has anything to say confirms the wickedness in D.C

Rat faced Mace is well versed at playing the victim card. She does it all the time. She did a Jussie fake hate crime by painting Antifa graffiti on her house. There’s no Antifa in SC. She was elected on Trump’s coat tails in 2020 and immediately stabbed him in the back over J6, The only reason she’s supporting Trump now is that he is her ticket to reelection. Believe me, Mace the disgrace is no Joan D’Arc.
I know that - and it’s tragic. When I said she played the victim card I wasn’t talking about rape - I was talking about her saying he was bullying her. I think that was a tactical error. IMHO there was a much better way of putting that a-hole in his place..
What she should have said was that President Trump, Justice Kavanaugh, or anyone else being falsely accused or convicted of rape does a grave injustice to all actual rape victims like herself. If women can get away with falsely accusing men of rape, then no one knows who to believe, and the real victims do not get the support and protection they need.
She should have said that the phony rape charge against President Trump is obviously part of a political hit job by partisan Trump hating judges and journalists. She should have told him he should be ashamed of himself for comparing her, an actual rape victim, to that disgusting liar Jean Carroll.
Then, when asked how she could endorse President Trump after saying in 2021 that he was disqualified from ever being President again - she should have said she was wrong about President Trump then, and has since learned the truth - that the election was in fact stolen, that January 6 was not an insurrection, and that President Trump did nothing wrong - that she was endorsing him because he is the best man for the job.
It’s true that Stephanopoulos was a bully and a liar in that interview, but by choosing to call him our as a bully without exposing the lies, she allowed the lies to go unchallenged - the bully won that exchange.
By the way, I am not vile - you just misunderstood.
Stephanopoulos talks about the lawsuit with E. Jean Carroll like it was a real court of law and not another democrat operated system.
He never was known for a high IQ.
You’re about 90% there. She obliquely hit on a point that you miss: there was no CHARGE. That a criminal term and what was at issue were civil claims, not criminal charges. She was also too busy with the girl power “shaming me” trope that she completely missed what should have been the centerpiece of her response: The jury found Trump DID NOT rape Carroll. The central premise of the question was factually incorrect. She missed the rule that leftists lie all the time. Never, ever, ever accept the premise of their question
She also could have responded about the fact of Mr. Trump not being guilty of a few other things he’s been charged with. Some of them I believe he’s only been accused of; not even charged with.
