There are no American Corporations, Corporations have no allegiance to any country. To them, nations and peoples are an outdated concept.

In the U.S., “capitalism” has effectively functioned predominantly as a form of corporate/government fascism since the establishment of the railroads in the 19th century.

The practice of bribery has become institutionalized.

How else do you explain the forever war class? People making bombs give them money in trade for blowing shit up.

Then you have the insider trader class. That’s pre-laundered bribery.

The premise of the author ignores past eras in America when the personal corporate giants - like Carnegie, Vanderbilt, Rockefeller and Ford, were the leading economic engines of the country.

excerpt

We are nowhere near coming to terms with the implications of this. It goes way beyond and fully transcends the old debates between capitalism and socialism. Indeed that is not what this is about. The focus on that might be theoretically interesting but it has little or no relevance to the current reality in which public and private have fully merged and intruded into every aspect of our lives, and with fully predictable results: economic decline for the many and riches for the few.

Lack of a powerful State and co-optation of the GOP by libertarians.

Capitalism is an economic system, not a system of government. Without strong regulation, the State is co-opted, the strong prey on the weak, and eventually you have societal collapse - just look around you.

The Declaration says the People have the right to change their form of government to whatever one secures their Safety and Happiness.

Are you safe? Are you happy?

It has mutated into Crony Capitalism/Socialism like in Germany during the 1930’s.

How Did American Capitalism Mutate Into American Corporatism?

Abraham Lincoln.

To be fair, it really started with Alexander Hamilton and his philosophy that government policy should reflect the best interests of business, but Lincoln is the guy who actually turned the government into a corporate enterprise.

He worked for the Railroad Corporations (among others) as you know.

communist, socialist and criminals.... all the same. They have no moral compass and are basically of the belief that they “deserve” to be the leaders and bosses of the citizens.

Has there ever been large-scale capitalism without government? Anarcho-capitalism is a utopian (or dystopian) myth. When you have large corporations, governments are going to intervene with the economy and corporations are going to intervene in the government.

What changed US capitalism was colleges and the change in values that the universities promoted. For the few capitalists and industrialists who didn’t go to college, wives and dinner parties turned them around.

Google, Facebook, Twitter etc were funded by the gov’t. These three committed stock fraud saying how many users they have.
Amazon was losing money until the feds gave them millions and then had their shipping subsidized. They just have to report all data they have on people to the federal agencies.
