Amos Miller, an Amish farmer in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, will be allowed to sell his raw milk products out-of-state following a ruling this week by Lancaster County Judge Thomas Sponaugle.

Attorney and podcast host Robert Barnes, who represents Miller in the case, labeled the decision a “major win” for the farmer.

“Court agreed to modify injunction so that it only applies within the state of Pennsylvania removing the ban on sales to customers outside state,” he wrote, thanking Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for their support. ...........

upon further review, it looks like from the article that he has to ‘pasteurize’ the milk to sell it out of state. so i guess it’s not going to be raw anymore, which is why i’d buy it.

I don’t see the advantage.

That just kicks the regulation (under interstate commerce) to even bigger food-nazis, the FDA

That is why it is a small win. Pennsylvania is not allowed to govern trade in other states. Many state officials are now trying to apply woke standards to other states and other countries;

“After Barnes argued a court order banning Miller from selling raw milk products anywhere equated to Pennsylvania governing trade in other states, Judge Sponaugle modified the order to allow the farmer to sell his items only to other states.”

My siblings and I grew up in Pennsylvania drinking unpasteurized, non-homogenized milk that our dad picked up direct from the farm on his way home from work. Same with eggs. Never was a problem for us and likely helped us develop stronger immune systems.

I suspect this farmer will be visited by heavily armed FIB stasi thugs and will suddenly pull a gun and agents were forced to shoot him, his dog, his cows, his wife, his kids, and anyone else who dared challenge the federal government

.......as a boy about 10, I remember visiting Mrs. Schultz’s (widow) house on Sundays and staying with her and her 2 boys often for several days at a time.

She would milk the cows by hand and, as I recall, pour it through some sort of filter and then boil it. Then she would put gallons of it in a refrigerator and give away the excess to needy neighbors (way out in the country then).

Us 3 boys, over the years drank truckloads of that ice cold fresh cows milk. Eggs (and bacon on the hoof) too. Never had a problem.

My understanding is this has nothing to do with the Federal Govt. It is the law of Pennsylvania that needs changing to allow people access to food products that are not processed according to State “safety” standards. So, Pennsylvania customers now must meet at the Border in Ohio, WVa, New Jersey to get their milk, cheese and yogurt... other contraband...
