An unruly passenger aboard an American Airlines flight was detained by police after being put in a headlock then thrown off the plane for hurling anti-Semitic slurs at an attendant.
The fracas happened on American Airlines Flight 2506, destined for Philadelphia, and started before the plane left the airbridge at Tampa International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
In a video of the incident, the passenger can be seen verbally assaulting staff and fellow passengers as the unrest developed.

IMO, Blue Hoodie Guy, who headlocked the perp, was being more gentle than the perp deserved.

How did the passenger know the attendant was Jewish?
“The speaker” had a captive audience.
The audience “moved” to assist the speaker, off stage left.

That was my question too. Maybe he was just an out of control kook who hurled these insults to get attention for his cause.
I would have escorted him off the plane also.
“Headlock” in the title is a bit of an overstatement. The passenger grabbed the piece of filth by the back of the neck and pulled to get him to move forward. So it was less of a headlock and more of a technique to get him moving.
Of course the scum’s personal injury lawyer will probably see it differently.

i love that “headlocker” guy said “so i am, walk” to disruptors claim of schizophrenia.
He’ll probably have some group complain he was not gentle enough with someone who is mentally ill.
I have no doubt that the guy is a scumbag punk. But unless there was a reasonable fear of physical harm that headlock might expose the hoodie guy and the airline...and maybe the cops...to a huge lawsuit.

That is a mystery. He must think he has Jewdar or something.
Something like that actually happened to me once. I was walking around in Greenwich Village and there was some man behind me yelling "Hey, Jewish girl! Hey, Jewish girl!" I ignored him, because (a)I didn't think he was talking to me, and (b) he sounded angry. But he kept getting closer to me, and I finally turned my head to see what the heck was up with the guy. Older black man with wild hair and filthy glasses.
He said "Yeah, you, Jewish girl!"
I said "What makes to think I'm Jewish?
He replied "You have frizzy hair, a big nose, and glasses."
I said "Well, so do you!" and then he started shouting and I started laughing, and had to duck into the nearest shop to get him off my back.
A combative Arab throwing around words like “kike” on an airplane sure meets MY standard for reasonable fear.
I watched the video, and I say he’s a citizen of an Islamic nation and shouldn’t be eligible to vote.
All my life I have been asked if I am jewish even by total strangers.
Im full Irish so go figure.
