Former President Donald Trump has opened up an 8 percentage-point lead over President Biden in the battleground state of Michigan, matching his largest margin in recent polling of the Mitten State.
The CNN/SSRS survey published Friday showed the 45th president, 77, leading the 46th president, 81, by 50% to 42% among registered voters.
The eight-point spread in favor of Trump matches a Detroit News poll of likely voters from early January that showed the former president leading Biden 47% to 39% among likely voters.
In 2016, Trump became the first Republican presidential candidate in 28 years to win Michigan, before Biden swung the state back into the Democratic column in 2020.
The CNN/SSRS poll also showed Trump and Biden tied in the incumbent’s birth state of Pennsylvania at 46% each.

I just read another poll where Trump was only 1 point ahead in Michigan. Those are some wildly disparate results.
Remember, he was also leading in 2020. The fix might still be in.

When a poll of “registered voters” is used to show Biden has some kind of advantage, we rightfully ignore it. We should do the same with any poll constructed that way.

Polls are a research tool for the Dems and their backers to learn how much massive election cheating is necessary.
I was one of the 10,400 Trump voters in his narrow Michigan victory in 2016. Dems didn’t realize they had to cheat more efficiently and on a larger scale.
They learned.
This election will need 10% margins to get above the fraud.
Hopefully the MAGA takeover of the Republican party in Michigan is complete.

I’m sorry, but my skepticism from the last elections really makes me question so many things now. I don’t believe this poll or any because it’s trying to make our side complacent instead of hitting the ground hard and furious. Don’t believe the polls no matter who produces them. This election is not going to be won by sitting back and depending on other people to go to the voting booth, this election is going to depend on all of us to hit the pavement hard. This election is a do or die. We either live the rest of our lives in a nation of freedom or in chains to those POS demonic filthy evil to the core communist left wing satanic RATS! No, he was not - most polls showed Biden winning Michigan handily - though the final result was much closer than what most polls showed.
He has to lead in double digits to be above the margin of fraud.
The fix could still be in, but Trump NEVER polled this well in 2020.
Yeah, I got my fingers crossed. The thing that does matter to people, bills/price of food, an open border, are things that are wildly unpopular. Biden’s state of the union provided no bump for him.
Biden is always hovering around low 40s/high 30s approval depending on the poll and its been that way for quite awhile. Biden has nothing to brag about, so its Trump is bad/lawfare/andor massive cheating.
