A Republican candidate for governor of Utah has linked diversity, equity, and inclusion to the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore.
The bridge collapsed early Tuesday after the cargo ship Dali drifted into a bridge support.
Among the reactions that looked past the immediate cause, state Rep. Phil Lyman appeared to indicate that the makeup of the commissioners for the Port of Baltimore was a factor in the incident.
Lyman is challenging Gov. Spencer Cox for the Republican nomination...

The bridge was rated “fair” since 2008.

Pretty stupid to blame DEI this early. Right now it is believed the pilot for the boat would have been a designated by the port authority that does nothing but take ships in and out of that particular harbor.
Maybe, just maybe the ship lost power twice, called a Mayday, dropped the anchor and the ship swung in to the bridge.
The bridge was not designed and built to withstand such an impact. Bollards could have been built to protect the support pilings, but for whatever reason - $ I’m sure - that was not done. Even if the Port Director is a DEI appointee and knows nothing about ports and shipping (and knowing Baltimore and Maryland politics, I’m sure that is the case), she wasn’t of the crew or piloting the ship.

If I'm a company that gets my ships flagged by countries with few if any hiring regulations and my crew is made up of a random assortment of guys from impoverished Third World countries, then you bet I'm going to tout my crew's diversity!

The Left FINALLY gave us a term for all of the crap they’re doing, and we need to hammer it home, RELENTLESSLY, regardless of how much it applies to a particular situation, as we’re unlikely to be told the truth when DEI is the primary cause.
We end bringing up DEI when this country excises DEI ONCE AND FOR ALL...and not just the term, but the actual application of DEI, regardless of what they rename it to.

Golly, I wonder too. Well, let’s look around and ask some or most esteem rulers, er... I mean “politicians”....maybe some of em can tell us. Oh....wait... which ones have several multi-million dollar mansions in some of the most prime real estate in the country. Gee, wonder how they bought all those when all they’ve ever done all their life is in.....public service on a public service salary. Yeah, wonder where all that money ended up...hmmm...hard to tell and ain’t nobody knows nuffin’. /s
