The Disney Grooming Syndicate surrendered to Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) Wednesday, announcing the withdrawal of its lawsuits in the Reedy Creek dispute.
Back in 2022, after Disney decided it would fight for the “right” of public school teachers to groom elementary school kids by opposing a law DeSantis signed prohibiting grooming — as Breitbart News reported at the time — the governor “signed legislation into law … intended to dissolve Disney’s special tax and governing jurisdiction in Florida.”

Disney is evil.
No decent parent leaves their child alone with anything involving Disney.

Imagine what else he could have done if he hadn’t pissed away months of time and millions of dollars on the fools errand of challenging Trump for the nomination.

DeSantis in 2028 !
I know, some will argue that Trump was, and always has been, the perfect candidate from the time he ran for president in 2000.
I'm just not sure about that.
Kudos, Gov. DeSantis.

He’s far from perfect. But he is inevitable. Running against him this cycle was just plain stupid. DeSantis not only wasted tens of millions of dollars that would have been better spent on local races this year, he pissed away incalculable amounts of political capital with the Trump base.
If he’d just kept his mouth shut and run Florida until his term expires Trump would have snapped him up for a Cabinet position. He and Trump would have made a very formidable team.
Sadly, that won’t happen now.

I remember advocates for Gerald Ford said the same thing against Reagan when Reagan challenged the sitting president in 1976.
Ford won the nomination but Reagan became the go-to guy for the Republicans four years later.
That may not happen again; but it may happen again.
I hope if DeSantis is defeated in the Republican primaries in 2028 it will be by some conservative that is even better than DeSantis.

I think he blew his chance.
Imagine what Trump could have accomplished by focusing on actual problems and then solving them, instead of trying to debate Megan Markle, producing trading cards and sitting in his basement thinking up nicknames for his political enemies.
DeSantis actually gets things that matter to his constituents, done, Trump just talks about getting things done, and blames everyone else when he repeatedly comes up short - apparently that is enough for a lot of his supporters.
