TCOB -— Taking care of business! In Florida.

Any other state can copy Florida. NY and other blue states are too dystopian dysfunctional.

What seemed like common sense 5 years ago is now “stunning and brave” Way to go Florida. I wish I were there instead of PA!

Just as important, no Florida Sheriff is going to tell his command, “I don't like the Florida law so our department is not going to enforce it. Ignore the law.”

First, most Florida Sheriffs don't feel that way (although in the past some south Florida Sheriff's have been pretty liberal.)

Second, if a current Florida Sheriff were to refuse to enforce the law that Sheriff would be removed from office by Governor DeSantis.

That is the way it stands in Florida right now.

Red states should be working as a coalition to firm up their constitutional pillars. If FL does something smart, it should be copied in the other states in weeks or months, and vice versa.

Stand together or get picked off one buy one.

There was a reason the Founding Fathers limited voting to property owners.

Here is the law. I can see a few possible problems. Here are a couple of them.

Presenting a fake lease to authorities in only a misdemeanor.

The removed person can sue the homeowner and make a claim that that they violated the rules regarding this procedure. There is no language about what happens if a frivolous case it brought against the home owner. No penalty listed. This means that even if the squatter loses then the homeowner will have to bear the legal costs. While slimy people often get free legal aid.

desanctimonious is getting things done in florida.....

now, that he isn’t actively doing his grassley 99.

Just think, if he hadn’t been ignoring florida while he was actively campaigning for the past year....

this could have been passed earlier, when he had to appear concerned about what people in florida thought of him.

Colorado did this a few years ago. Same basic law. Find a squatter, calls the cops, file the report and the bad guys go bye-bye instantly. Before in Colorado, like Florida, it took months in court.

Tell the anti-Trump Ron Degenerate to piss up a rope, the people of CA and NY never voted for squatters rights
