Two of the Democratic Party’s rising stars have been thrust into the national spotlight this week after the bridge collapse in Baltimore.
Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, 45, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, 42 — both of whom considered likely candidates for higher office in the future — face a key test with their handling of the aftermath of the disaster, which took six lives and will require a bridge reconstruction and port reopening.
“It is a bright reflection of the talent we have within the Democratic Party and their ability to lead in times of crisis,” said Antjuan Seawright, a Democratic strategist. “Sometimes it’s a crisis that forces leaders to rise to the top and answer the call. I think this unfortunate tragedy has done just that.”

Moore looked very bizarre in the press conferences - he kept jerking his head this way and that, as if putting on an act of very being attentive and concerned and thoughtful. I’ve never seen anyone appear so unnatural in a situation like this.
The Hill has gone off the cliff. When they ended their readers’ comments section, that signaled the end.
Simone said that Buttigieg so fouled up the supply chain when he was AWOL during the west coast port of Los Angeles backlog that the shipping companies were forced to rethink their backup plans and secondary routes to keep the supply chain running.
It's because of that foul-up that then the industry is better equipped today to react to the sudden closure of the Baltimore port, and Simone credits Buttigieg's massive failures that forced the shipping industry into the better position they're in today.
Talk about a back-handed compliment to a "rising star" who took only four years to rise!

Wes Moore and Pete Buttigieg have a spotlight cast upon them, all right, and is is not necessarily in a favorable way. Being Democrat Socialists, both of them, they shall fumble around, waffle, delay, and procrastinate taking any useful action for MONTHS while nothing is done, and all the commerce that would have moved through Baltimore languishes and sends ripples all through the economy of the Eastern Seaboard.
A “black swan” event which shall be exacerbated by the inaction and indecision, most of which shall originate in the White House.
