If the DA prosecutes, if not then a pointless waste of time and money.

If they don’t put them in jail, what is the point?

It’s almost like this is what they (the deep state) wanted all along.

The perceptible drop in crime will be negligible.

So they simply want to be crime voyeurs.

Interesting.

I’m sure they’re a lot of hackers out there just dying to hack this system and make the cameras inoperable.

Black Civil Rights leaders would march against this is Republican did it. But now that the Leftists, who are fed up with the crime from Leftist Progressives, are finally taking action.

β€œ In 2023, Oakland, California was the site of 14,554 motor vehicle thefts, an all-time high for the city.”

β€œβ€¦ the ability to track vehicles as they drive around the area, and can track them using license plates, car type, color, decals, and bumper stickers.”

Just to show that the idiots in Oakland can’t put 2 and 2 together. The criminals won’t care if the vehicle is tracked because it’s stolen.

Hmmm? The Bay Area has 80, 280, 380, 580, 680, 780, and 880.

There is no 480 there.

It's not about the crime. It's about the total surveillance state.

They love criminals. It's the law-abiding that they hate.

Installing the cameras does zilch to stop criminals committing crimes. But does let brain-dead demo-commie voters ‘feel’ like they are ‘safer’.

I suspect many Freepers think of Oakland as being majority black, but Wiki says otherwise.

In 1990, Oakland was 43.9% black, 32.5% white. In 2022 Oakland was 22% black, 33.4% white. The Hispanic/Latino population has almost doubled during that period, from 13.9% to 27.2%.
