One guy said the law reads you can’t forcibly remove them. It also does NOT say you cannot store items on your property. The guy proceeded to store 18 snakes on the property. The squatters left. He was satisfied, but recalls he was only able to locate 16 of the snakes.

I do not understand why these squatters are not being prosecuted under vandalism, breaking and entering, trespassing laws.

In Florida if there’s a squatter you call the police and the police remove the person. No lawyers needed, no court dates, the cops arrest they guy and it’s over in less than an hour.

They should reopen Debtors’ prisons and keep the squatters there until they pay for all the damage they caused to someones house.
Fortunately, Texas has a law which allows deadly force to protect property (see Texas Penal Code Sec. 9.42. DEADLY FORCE TO PROTECT PROPERTY. )

It has begun. It appears that the ‘mainstream’ media is now SPIKING these stories as I cannot find a single article from Dallas mentioning this. I’m particularly interested in whether she lives in a red or blue town, and why the police tells her that the squatter is a ‘tenant’ after only 10 days of squatting.
When I go on vacation I always ask a family member to stay at my house, I fill the refrigerator and allow them to watch their favorite sports on my big screen, they only have to keep it clean and feed my pets, it’s safer than telling the neighbor take a look at my house

Seems that people will have to learn not to contact the police in these situations. The squatters might all die somehow while you were out of state. What a shock to find out that squatters had been in your house.
I don’t understand the problem, especially in Texas. I enter my property, find people there who don’t belong, shoot them in fear for my life. What’s wrong with this picture?
