This is required routine on all large insurance policies and bonds. Namely, the proposed beneficiary (New York State) is wanting to make sure the issuer of the 175 million dollar bond is good for it. Anybody in a similar situation would.

Trump could have come up to the court with Ft. Knox in a truck and they would still come up with some reason not to accept it, because the left WANTS TRUMP IN JAIL and will not be happy until that is settled the way they want it settled.

To coverup crimes requires telling lies.
Telling lies is always an uphill effort because it requires many forms of additional coverup, particularly the telling of more lies. Coverup is a significant psychological burden.
The whole thing always comes crashing down, sometimes sooner, sometimes later.
The goal isn't justice.
The goal is destroying Trump and squashing the rest of us.
I think it was Rob Rinner being interviewed and he was accusing a Republican, the name escapes me, of something. The interviewer interjected that Joe Biden had done exactly the thing he was talking about and Rinner’s answer was a dismissive, “Oh, that’s just Joe being Joe.”
You can catch a Democrat standing over a body with a smoking gun and they’ll be able to talk their way out of it. Likely, whoever saw them do it will be the one going to prison. No one in power holds Democrats responsible for anything they do.
