A swarm of “masked tough guy wannabe thugs” trapped a Virginia cop inside her patrol car as they jumped on the hood and tore it apart — before one driver mowed down another cop who was coming to her aid.
Shocking bodycam video from the out-of-control “street takeover” showed hundreds of people retaliating against the officers for breaking up their 3 a.m. Sunday car meet-up, according to Fairfax County police.
“I’ve got a huge crowd. They’re hitting the car,” the distressed officer can be heard saying as she radios for backup.

If society had the will, it could stop this. Easily.
It just doesn’t have the will.
She should have called for backup and got out of the care and arrested them. That’s her job.

Obama and his DOJ organized a political movement to persecute and neuter America’s 3000+ independent police and sheriffs departments, and put them under DOJ control. BLM and “I can’t breathe” were the street destabilization operation moving this bureaucratic effort forward

Cops today have two professional goals. Work until you get a pension and don't join Derek Chauvin in prison.
Arrest people? Why bother? The DA is just going to drop the charges.

Because an officer knows their career, reputation and freedom could well end with that?
When my daughter was in the police academy (not saying when or where) she told me one of the other recruits asked about what to do when they could not get to their gun because of the seat belt.
The instructor said, you are driving a 3,000 pound weapon. (dumb ass implied)
